When I was a kid sitting up in the rafters of the R.I. Auditorium and watching original AHL hockey, the Reds used to sponsor a "Win a Dinner at Some Mafioso Meatball Restaurant" shot attempt game.  When the fans started hooting and hollering "move'im UP", they'd shuffle the attemptor from the red line to the blue line and let it fly.  Sometime, someone made it and the place would go wild. laugh

By the way, your 'Yotes just got Taylor Hall from the Devils.  Could prove well for Arizona in their quest for the Cup; another veteran to the lineup hungry for a ring.  Former Hart Trophy winner will put more in the stands.  Get your tickets now. Wink

Reminds me of Putt Putt Golf.  Why someone wants to go out on ice is beyond me.

Don't know if he's that good or just got lucky.   Doesn't matter to me.   Glad he won.

Red line to goal line=89 feet.  Helluva shot that even the best players would miss.  Lucky yes, but it's obvious that he's handled a stick before or he would have missed the whole net.

Get a load of this one!!!  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ccZqU8rJjTs   She won a truck!!!
From the opposite blue line...114 feet.  Way ta go...never held a stick before; sometimes it's better to be lucky than skilled...or smart. Shocked   The announcer goes wild.

Local hockey is great ! Growing up we had a semi-pro team called the Anchorage Wolverines. They played in an old unheated WWII Quonset hut. Beer flowed freely in the stands and blood flowed freely on the ice. They too did puck shoots. Like that announcer, I also never saw one go in. Good for Brenda Hewitt.  cooldude
