I would like to wish all VRCC members a Merry Christmas, a great New Year's Eve and safe riding in good health in 2020.
Our Power Cruiser Icon is still very much alive in the Lowlands after 20 years.
First of all I want to express our thoughts and feelings to the family of Daniele from Italy, Hartmut (Bison) from Germany and Fred form the UK who passed away this year. May they rest in peace.
VRCC Lowlands has 208 members right now and new members are still finding their way to our club. You can see the worldwide Valkyrie community on
https://www.zeemaps.com/map?group=2507461 If you haven't done so already, add yourself to the map. There are still Valkyrie Riders who have not yet found their way to the VRCC .
There have been a number of nice trips this past year. In March the introduction ride of Sander and Marlies, who have organized more activities during the year. Very well done, both of you for being such an active couple.
On Easter Monday in April the Bikers Best party was well attended and in June there was a pleasant trip through Brabant by Gerard and Jenneke with 23 Valkyries and later that month the great Summer Weekend in Houffalize by Hugo and Stefan, where no less than 39 Riders showed up. A true highlight. In July a small group attended the Peel Ride of MC Grathem and in August the traditional tour with a cozy BBQ in Friesland at Ivo and Cella's place. You folks are real pearls of the Wadden Sea.
In October Sander had organized another nice trip to the museum "Back in Time" and the season ended with a ride from Meks along the Dutch-Belgian border. The club owes you all for your initiatives.
Internationally, we had a great EU Inzane meeting in Cervia at the Adriatic coast in Italy and with our English friends in Normandy. This impressive week was followed up by Ludo and Remy with an additional 5 day ride on the "Road to Liberty", following Gen Pattons trail during WW2. Exceptionally well organized and we enjoyed every mile of it.
Because that's what it's all about. De Valkyrie belongs on the road instead of being a "Garage Queen". That is why I hope that 2020 will be another great year. The club relies on your spontaneous contributions.
In that respect, we have not yet been to Noord-Holland yet. That is a hint

And of course the Belgians will not stay behind.
Another Lowlands Summer Meeting is planned for 2020. The details will be published shortly. So keep an eye on the website and Facebook because you don't want to miss this weekend.
Next year, there will be a large international Valkyrie Inzane in Switzerland at Lake Geneva that is sold out. In addition, there is a season-end meeting in Hungary. Highly recommended.
The history of the VRCC has been placed on the EU website and the Forum now also has an hour-long video about VRCC Italy's history. Perhaps something to watch on a dull and rainy day.
I want to thank our moderators, Ivo and Anthony, for their work on the website. You guys are the best!
And of course our sponsors, Bikers Best, Valkyrie Parts and Hans Huijbers for paying for the website and their contributions to club activities.
Finally, I hope for a large F6C / Valkyrie / Rune attendance during next years' club rides and meetings.
Let's all make 2020 another great and safe Valkyrie year.
