In '77 I flew from Anchorage to Portland, and bought a brand new Yamaha XS750. I had planned on also buying a Bell helmet. I always thought they were the coolest. But, the dealer only sold Arai's. I had never heard of them, but the owner talked me into one. $100 ! I thought that was a ton of money for a helmet. The bike was $1,999. I'm glad he talked me into it. That helmet saved me twice.
