Trying to remember what other Honda final gear is compatible with our Valkyrie.  Preparing a back-up drive assembly I have a great 5 star flange , just need the mating gear from the Final Drive assembly.

Was it the Goldwing 1500?  IF so what years or any other information would be great.  Would be even better if you had one sitting on a shelf and interested in selling....

Thanks in advance.

Michael

All (I think even the first year even though it has a different flange)
1500 wings - but... it is not a direct replacement, you have to be
able to take the good 1500 ring gear and press out the splines, do the same
to your worn valkyrie ring gear, and then press the good splines
into your valkyrie ring gear.

You could just buy a new Valkyrie ring gear, but then you'd have to
have enough skill to shim it properly - maybe easy, maybe not, ida know.

I got the guy down at the NAPA machine shop to do the pressing for me.

I thought about that but then I don't have the shimming ability or knowledge.  Wish I could just buy the one piece and not both.

Was just hoping to press old one off and a better used one on.  Want to have as a back up for the riding group in my area.

Thanks,

I’m assuming you got a couple from him ? If so, did he send good pics of them beforehand ? I wouldn’t mind having one for any future calamity.

I called there was no answer tried calling a trike shop in MN and was able to get a GW 1500 final drive and a complete swing arm for a Valkyrie.

The mechanic at the trike shop made a great comment.  All trike conversions start with exceptional motorcycles.
