Too soon to celebrate?

Probably. But to all the naysayers, once again Trump along with his advisers knew what they were doing and took a calculated risk and eliminated a terrorist and put Iran and all the countries in the region on notice that indiscriminate killing of Americans will be answered swiftly, without starting a full brown war.
It’s still a chess match that will continue at least until we are out of the region and some of our NATO partners step up to protect their region of the world. Certainly checkmate is a ways off.

Ukrainian Plane Crashes In Iran, Killing Over 170 People, Around Time Missiles Being Fired At US Forces In Iraq ???
"Iran Appears To Be Standing Down" - Trump Signals Further Sanctions, NATO Engagement
Additionally, Trump jabbed the Obama administration, urging the United Kingdom, Germany and France to end their participation in the the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action or JCPOA:
"The missiles fired at us" were paid for by the funds "made available by the last administration."

I don’t know if it matters but I left out a comma in the part you quoted. I corrected that omission. Outside of that your quote and reference just went right over my head.
