I have a friend that is going to put a sidecar on his bike and is kinda interested in putting a car tire on the bike. Who has done this and how does it handle with the sidecar ?

With a sidecar and no leaning.

Use what you want.

I have never ridden a sidecar bike.  But everything I ever read about them says the handling sucks.

Maybe one of those Urals with the two wheel drive would be fun in the woods, but I'd never want to be in traffic with one

I have ridden a couple of bikes with a side car. It is not hard just different, taking off the bike will pull to the right and when stopping it wants to go left but after riding one for a while you get to the point that you just naturally react to it. I have a friend that just did that and it thinking of trying one on the front if he can find a tire the correct size. This is a GL1500 Goldwing with a double sidecar.

I have a sidecar installed on my 1999 Interstate.  The sidecar was manufactured and installed by DMC Sidecars.  The only mods I made were the installation of a car tire on the rear, installed an Ultimate saddle, changed the Interstate into a Supervalk, and added heavy duty air shocks.

Riding with a sidecar is a different skills set so don't compare it to a two wheeler.  Gas mileage will drop.

I enjoy it.  My wife also rides it.  She uses the sidecar when we go touring.  That way she can carry all her "essentials."  I usually take my Corgi in the sidecar.  PM me and I will send you pics.  I have a video of my wife flying the chair.

Just remember that a sidecar is very expensive.  Starts at $6,500 before paint, installation, etc.  Check out the DMC sidecars website.  You must have it professionally installed as well.

Have a homebuilt sidecar on 1997 Valkyrie.Replaced 185/55/16 Avid Ascend after 20000 km.Was getting a bit bare along centerline(probably overinflated)>Replaced it with Avid Ascend 185/60/16.Fitted easily.
