Question for those who would know. Does Fox News cable competitors have opposing views on there shows? Fox does and sometimes they can make me want to chew nails. Juan Williams is always a thorn in my side, He seldom says a word I can agree with but I suppose that’s his job. There are others who are much worse but they are usually only on for short segments. Plus Fox shows a lot of clips from the other cable news outlets so I do get to see some of their garbage including Robs heartthrob.
Juan is obviously Fox's attempt to be fair and balanced in their
5 segment. He gets ganged up on (and he deserves it, but he also puts up with it pretty well too), and you might wonder why he would put up with it. I'll bet it's because of a very healthy paycheck.
Pay me a half million a year, and watch me let Don Lemon berate me for an hour or two every day. (OK, I'd punch him off his chair sooner or later, but hopefully after some good money in the bank).
Or do some psyops, and keep putting on a MAGA hat on camera, and induce him to throw the first punch. Good family entertainment all around.
Now the socialist front runners like CNN and MSNBC don't want and can't tolerate solid conservative logic being presented on their news, so they only invite 3d and 4th stringers once in a while for counterpoint, and if that counterpoint ever becomes too good or logical, it is shouted down or ganged up on, or they go to break and you never see them again. Knowing they will never be given a fair opportunity to be heard or be outright ambushed (like Tom Selleck), very few top conservatives will go on those shows only to be used as punching bags.
One day in DC out in front of my workplace, wearing a good work suit, a 3d string socialist reporter asked my opinion on some current city socialist SJW topic, and I politely smiled and said sure. When the camera rolled I started out slow but built up momentum (not in the direction she expected). When she tried to interrupt to slow me down, I never let her get a word in. She axed the camera, and muttered something about knowing better than asking VA employees anything, and stalked off with her cameraman. I looked high and low, and my segment never made the air. (no kidding

)
But my buddies bought me lunch for the good entertainment (after we stopped laughing).
