Last night, I was on the New England Riders buy and sell FB page and saw a free Valkyrie service manual offered up. I messaged the seller (giver, actually) and explained that while I had the downloaded manual already, I much prefer paper manuals when actually in the garage. So, I said that if it wasn't spoken for, I'd like to have it and I'd gladly pay at least the shipping. Well, I got a message back saying it was all mine and to send my address. Again, I offered shipping, but he said no and explained his Valkyrie roots. And it turned out to be, the legendary SHORTY!!!!

Seeing as I wasn't a Valk owner during the "heydays", I haven't met most of you. That said, I pay attention and immediately knew who I was messaging. I must say, though I have only met one other member of this forum in person so far, everyone I've had any dealings with on the VRCC has been top notch.

Just spoke to Shorty this afternoon, and he said Thanks for the awesome post. He would reply himself, but his password is messed up. I wrote the admins about it, but no response. My personal experiences with this group have been awesome to the max. I LOVE YOU PEOPLE!

Shorty has been doing better with a couple of glitches on the side... ok, other places... You should come to Portland, OB wan kenobie, and meet more great peeps... smitten

I just talked with him again on FB. Good guy, without any doubt.
