I am planning on riding to Beatty, Nevada, on Friday, March 20.  I am not, per say, leading a ride, but trying to put together a VRCC meet-up for the weekend and touring Death Valley.  Saturday we will do the normal tour of Death Valley and Sunday is still open.  I am open to ideas (maybe we will ride over to Lone Pine for lunch).  Monday we say our goodbye's and head back home.
I already have reservations at Motel Six ($76 per night).  They offer a Senior discount($69), so if you qualify, get it.  Scotty's Castle is still closed.  This will be posted on California and Arizona Boards.  I hope to see a lot of you there.

appreciate the update Rich.  Did you stop by Scotty's Castle to make sure he was still hard at work repairing the flood damage?

It's a government job....don't expect much and you won't be disappointed.

I do wonder how they are doing.

Scotty is supposed to be finished up this fall, but then it was supposed to be done by last fall and the fall before that.....like you said, it is a government job.  Maybe next year.

Here is an LA Times article on it:

Note that you can sign up for a flood repair tour. Might be an interesting thing to do.
