they are UN Globalists who have sold out their country to them

https://www.foxnews.com/opinion/spiker-nra-virginia-gun-control-capitol-rally

billionaire Michael Bloomberg, who poured millions of dollars into races across the commonwealth last year, bought a slim majority in the General Assembly. Bloomberg is now demanding a return on his investment – in the form of a broad ban on commonly owned firearms, gun registration, and outright gun confiscations.

Bloomberg’s ally in this effort is Gov. Ralph Northam — yes, THAT politician caught in the blackface scandal. Northam is pushing every single one of Bloomberg’s gun control schemes, including bans. One measure he supports would ban law-abiding citizens from owning America’s most popular all-purpose rifle, the AR-15. Virginians will soon have to turn in those firearms to the state, register them or face confiscation. We’re talking about a rifle that is owned by an estimated 17 million Americans and used for a variety of lawful purposes, including self-defense.

Here are some facts. FBI data shows that four times as many individuals are killed with knives than with rifles of any kind. Data also shows that rifles were used in fewer homicides than blunt objects (clubs, hammers, etc.) or personal weapons such as hands, fists and feet.

In addition, a federal ban on so-called assault weapons shows that it didn’t curb crime. A 1997 Department of Justice-funded study of the Clinton gun ban found, “At best, the assault weapons ban can have only a limited effect on total gun murders because the banned weapons and magazines were never involved in more than a modest fraction of all gun murders.” A follow-up study, also funded by the Justice Department, determined that “the ban’s effects on gun violence are likely to be small at best and perhaps too small for reliable measurement.”

Presented with the overwhelming evidence of the ban’s inefficacy, Congress did not renew it. More recently, in 2018 a RAND Corporation study found no conclusive evidence that such bans have an effect on mass shootings or violent crime.  Yet, Northam and Bloomberg want it.

Of course they want it...once the guns are gone, it becomes impossible to protect your family, your friends and your way of life once those that want what you have come to take it away.

Long guns keep enemies further away...

remember if thing go wrong in Virginia today, it will be the first day of the next revolution...

Smells of the late 30's in Germany....

Recently it’s been shown that the 2nd is more than just self protection, it’s been shown quite a few times it’s protection of other citizens in a time of crisis. While everyone has the right to bear arms some choose to and some do not and I understand that, it’s a personal choice for any number of various reasons which people are permitted to have. However coming to the protection of an unarmed citizen is not unreasonable, some may say it’s a civic duty, the same as seeing a person being assaulted with or without a weapon, who wouldn’t step in to do something. The real time isn’t there to call police and await their arrival. The truth is we have bad people in this country, in communities and cities and not enough LEO’s to respond and cover at moments notice. IMO it’s not your civic duty to carry a firearm but it certainly should not be a restricted right of protection either.

Wouldn’t a petition to recall a states governor need to have the signature of that state’s registered citizens. Their governor is in reality a small part of the problem. You have 2 branches of state government that are passing laws that have to be removed by recall or at the ballot box.

Thankfully it was reported that the rally was a peaceful one. I was surprised that fact made the news.
Maybe some of the Dems paid attention to that and will think twice about proceding...but I doubt it.
