there are 5 strains of the virus
Of course testing will take time, Save the angst for china They sat on this
POTUS put a travel ban on weeks ago, Biden and Sanders called him a racist for it and said they would not do that
He may have bought us the time we need, consider that. Heaven forbid they were in charge It would be very bad indeed
Meanwhile previous administrations responsible for our losing the ability to even make penicillin here as the last plant went out of business years ago due to china getting the business.
Just as we cant even make large transformers for our grid, they are made, yep in china
Wash your hands, stay strong and have courage this will pass
yup we'll get through it! America is bad ass! I don't even think this one is Captain Tripps. But it's a wake-up call to reduce our dependence on China, and to prep for the next one. Yes on transformers, but I thought it was S. Korea who manufactures them with a two-year backup! Regardless, America needs to get her INDEPENDENCE back! And with little Kim and Iran lobbing missiles in the midst of global pandemic, we need to think about them too! Did some research, looks like we do have two electric transformer manufacturers in America but China has their grubs all over them with both raw materials and the majority of manufacture. Two year turn around. And yes this is another potentially huge hazard for our country. http://energyskeptic.com/2015/power-transformers-that-take-up-to-2-years-to-build/

Yes we will get past the hardship of the virus itself.
If predictions are even close to correct a lot of us will contract the virus. Most of us will endure it as we would a harsh cold. A few of us may even die.
There are some good lessons to be learned from the experience, primarily our need to overcome our dependence upon China and other countries most especially in regard to medical supplies.
What will be most damaging for us as a culture and as a nation is the media inspired panic. I won't participate. I hope you won't either.

The market is largely emotion driven (even with computer models, go figure), and it would be nice for everyone if they don't lose too much of their life savings. I got entirely out of the market 10 years ago when I retired. And I could have made quite a bundle if I hadn't. But now this big dive does not affect me at all. It should bounce back, but it may take awhile.

Of symptomatic patients... And all these numbers are subject to change depending on the size of the iceberg. The 80% mild infections is a good number. Self treat. You'll be sick as hell but enjoy not being in the hospital. Ibuprofen, Gatorade. 80% of us getting it is not. Here's why. https://medium.com/@amwren/forget-about-the-death-rate-this-is-why-you-should-be-worried-about-the-coronavirus-890fbf9c4de6The other 20% are NOT just a little less mild, and ya just walk it off. While many of that 20% will live to tell the tale, they will require hospitalization. Two to six WEEKS hospitalization. 6% of those critical, intubated. 2% of those are cashing in the chips. And then there is the hospital bed issue. Italy has more hospitals and beds per capita than us in America. Let's hope we manage this better than they have. https://www.msn.com/en-xl/news/other/coronavirus-italy-doctors-forced-to-prioritise-icu-care-for-patients-with-best-chance-of-survival/ar-BB116IlXhttps://news.sky.com/story/coronavirus-what-x-rays-and-ct-scans-reveal-about-how-covid-19-kills-11955988I still say not to be scoffed at, everybody wash your damn hands! For Oss National Geographic cytokine storm article. Crappy. COVID-19 also cause sepsis, organ failure causing bacterial infections and heart attacks. Not a nagging cold for sure. https://www.nationalgeographic.com/science/2020/02/here-is-what-coronavirus-does-to-the-body/

Shaking hands does not specifically transmit the virus. You must do a further step. Touching your nose, mouth, nose, or eyes to transmit the virus.

The P4 lab in Wuhan has connections to the Chinese military, the People’s Liberation Army. When the U.S.-based company Gilead Sciences recently sent a new drug (remdesivir) to China that could possibly treat the novel coronavirus, the Wuhan Institute of Virology quickly moved to apply for a patent. https://greatgameindia.com/wuhan-institute-of-virology-epicentre-of-coronavirus/

https://greatgameindia.com/coronavirus-bioweapon/Last year a mysterious shipment was caught smuggling Coronavirus from Canada. It was traced to Chinese agents working at a Canadian lab. Subsequent investigation by GreatGameIndia linked the agents to Chinese Biological Warfare Program from where the virus is suspected to have leaked causing the Wuhan Coronavirus outbreak. (This report on Coronavirus Bioweapon has caused a major international controversy and is suppressed actively by a section of mainstream media.) Coronavirus arrived at Canada’s NML Winnipeg facility on May 4, 2013 from the Dutch lab. The Canadian lab grew up stocks of the virus and used it to assess diagnostic tests being used in Canada. Winnipeg scientists worked to see which animal species can be infected with the new virus. Following investigation, the incident was traced to Chinese agents working at NML. Four months later in July 2019, a group of Chinese virologists were forcibly dispatched from the Canadian National Microbiology Laboratory (NML). The NML is Canada’s only level-4 facility and one of only a few in North America equipped to handle the world’s deadliest diseases, including Ebola, SARS, Coronavirus, etc.

https://greatgameindia.com/frank-plummer-canadian-lab-scientist-key-to-coronavirus-investigation-assassinated/In a very strange turn of events, renowned scientist Frank Plummer who received Saudi SARS Coronavirus sample and was working on Coronavirus (HIV) vaccine in the Winnipeg based Canadian lab from where the virus was smuggled by Chinese Biowarfare agents and weaponized as revealed in GreatGameIndia investigation, has died in mysterious conditions. Frank Plummer was the key to the Chinese Biological Espionage case at Winnipeg’s National Microbiology Laboratory. What is not mentioned in the CBC report however is that Plummer worked in the same National Microbiology Laboratory (NML) in Winnipeg, Canada from where Chinese Biowarfare agent Xiangguo Qiu and her colleagues smuggled SARS Coronavirus to China’s Wuhan Institute of Virology where it is believed to have been weaponized and leaked.

I have said before, I wonder how fast this would die down if it were announced all elections cancelled till this is under control.
Here's a look back on the 2009 swine flu pandemic with eight key facts from the CDC:
1. The flu strain responsible for the outbreak — influenza A (H1N1)pdm09 — was first detected in America in April 2009.
2. The strain represented a unique combination of influenza viruses never before seen in humans or animals.
3. The virus quickly spread globally, primarily affecting children and adults under 65 who lacked immunity to H1N1.
4. The WHO declared the swine flu outbreak a pandemic on June 11, 2009.
5. Between April 12, 2009, and April 10, 2010, the CDC estimates swine flu caused 60.8 million illnesses, 273,304 hospitalizations and 12,469 deaths in the U.S.
6. On Oct. 5, 2009, the U.S. began administering a newly approved H1N1 vaccine to select Americans, with vaccination coverage expanding nationwide by that December.
7. WHO declared an end to the pandemic on Aug. 10, 2010.
8. Globally, an estimated 151,700 to 575,400 people died from swine flu in the first year of the pandemic.
For reference, the COVID-19 pandemic has sickened 1,323 Americans and killed 38, as of March 12. More than 127,00 cases and 4,700 deaths have been reported globally.
1000 people died before Obama did anything and the media praised him.

so what sounds scarier? rifle vs assault rifle? H1N1 influenza vs Swine Flu did not disproportionately infect adults older than 60 years? H1N1 influenza vs Spanish Flu? contagious chest cold vs CORONA VIRUS?, mainly killing the already sick, illegal immigrant invaders already full of other diseases and have very poor hygiene habits and sick elderly people. more men have died from corona than woman. get rid of the current warriors take over the countries. no toilet paper in stores? the next bio weapon that culls all age groups ans sexes? more have died from the flu vs significate less have died from Corona? more people die every yr from smoking and drinking, hospital and doctor mistakes vs flu and corona combined? my two cents.

As many of you know I ride P G R here in Missouri. My State Ride Captain issued today an IMMEDIATE STAND DOWN Order for Missouri effective upon receipt of the E-mail. And I already have received notification of half a dozen Funerals across Missouri for the first three days of this coming week. At least one of the Funerals is for a WWII Vet and another for a Korean War Vet. I hope whoever invented this crap and whoever unleashed this crap roasts forever in the hottest regions of hades. I personally feel as if my life is being taken away from me and I am powerless to do Anything about it. I HATE that feeling. RIDE SAFE.

Been thinking about the panic that has seized this country and the rock we call home. Frenzy feeding of consumables at the stores and folks drastically changing their plans and lives.....
Not to suggest all shouldn’t be self conscience of our surroundings and practice good hygiene but does any one actually know someone who has positively contracted this virus?
I don’t and have asked a significant number of my friends and relatives. My DIL is a nurse at a major hospital/city and she only knows of four positive results in her area.
Again, not about to suggest we should not be aware, cautious and maintain good hygiene but the panic I’m reading about and seeing reports of on the news is unbelievable. If we were Lemmings, most would already be running off the cliff.

Anthony Fauci https://www.courierpress.com/story/opinion/columnists/jon-webb/2020/03/16/coronavirus-last-longer-than-any-us-want-admit/5056598002/Remember it's just getting started, we'll see how it unfolds. We're talking months, not weeks. If it unfolds as many scientists are predicting, you'll know somebody who has contracted the virus before it's all said and done. You may even have acquaintance with someone who succumbs to it. I hope neither is the case. Just today our Surgeon General said we all need to modify our behaviors and follow guidelines or we could be the next Italy. https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2020/03/16/coronavirus-task-force-hold-briefing-live-updates/5057442002/Let's all do our best to not get hit, our local hospitals will appreciate it greatly! I wish we could wish it away.
