2funny Guess all is right as rain, then!

Next week is my target FROTY!  I think it's essential that I get out fora quick red line to blow the carbs out!  Hope I can sneak out to my favorite flat stretches without causing much suspicion!    cooldude
I just heard from a friend who has a cabin in your area, near Pitkin.  He said the college in Gunnison had several cases.  Is that true?  I thought it was mostly centered in Crested Butte.

only elderly and people with existing health conditions are dying. many get it and get better quickly, many never get sick.
as soon as the bankrupt states like NJ and NY get their federal bailout money for their pensions everything will be ok.

"For a number of young, generally healthy Americans the worst-case scenario could happen; you could get coronavirus. You could be asymptomatic and be unknowingly spreading it. You could feel ill for a few days and then suddenly feel better. That’s apparently happening because there are thousands of people who’ve recovered from COVID-19.

John Hopkins University recently released a report via their coronavirus resource center claiming that over 80,000 people have recovered from the coronavirus. Johns Hopkins is tracking that in real-time with an interactive map that shows the spread of the virus."

It's difficult getting specifics right now Dave.  Cheryl works for the campus library (now from home), she's heard one student and one staffer tested positive.

The 13th was the last day of physical classes.  There is no indication when those will begin again...

if one reads enough over the yrs it has been well established that retirees, elderly, chronic sick, and unhealthy people are considered non-productive and a burden on societal resources.

the world is evil, globalist elitists have no country except themselves and their wealth and they want less world population. the corona is a trial run in my opinion.  see very bottom for quotes by elitists.
make what you will of the following.

Although the language used in the original 70-page report that the UN published on Agenda 21 is vague and open to interpretation, as well as plausible deniability, the intentions in certain sections are clear. Depopulation to lessen environmental impact and stop overpopulation leading to instability.

While this sounds like a positive thing in some aspects, mere policy changes at governmental level alone cannot create an environment where big enough changes can come about in a short space of time.
Global epidemic: Huge scale depopulation in short time

To achieve such huge scale depopulation with a relatively short deadline the actions were taken would have to be drastic. Either a world war, global epidemic or some kind of widespread starvation caused by massive crop failures would be the only likely ways of achieving this.

The idea also raises the question of which 5% of the global population would be saved? Would these be those strong and hardy enough to survive the conditions placed on the earth that would kill off the remaining 95%, or perhaps the survivors would be chosen selectively from the elite and wealthy? And those who wake up to this evil reality will be imprisoned in FEMA camps before their death. Is this what they are built for?

Whether such a plan could ever actually be successful is another matter. Plans of this size and scope would require the collusion and agreement of at least every first world government in the world, not to mention that the number of resources and effort that would have to go into keeping something like this covered up would be astronomical.

To read the full document click here:

www.un.org/...

make what you will of it;

5. CNN Founder Ted Turner: “A total world population of 250-300 million people, a 95% decline from present levels, would be ideal.”

6. Japan’s Deputy Prime Minister Taro Aso about medical patients with serious illnesses: “You cannot sleep well when you think it’s all paid by the government. This won’t be solved unless you let them hurry up and die.”

7. David Rockefeller: “The negative impact of population growth on all of our planetary ecosystems is becoming appallingly evident.”

8. Environmental activist Roger Martin: “On a finite planet, the optimum population providing the best quality of life for all, is clearly much smaller than the maximum, permitting bare survival. The more we are, the less for each; fewer people mean better lives.”

9. HBO personality Bill Maher: “I’m pro-choice, I’m for assisted suicide, I’m for regular suicide, I’m for whatever gets the freeway moving – that’s what I’m for. It’s too crowded, the planet is too crowded and we need to promote death.”

10. MIT professor Penny Chisholm: “The real trick is, in terms of trying to level off at someplace lower than that 9 billion, is to get the birthrates in the developing countries to drop as fast as we can. And that will determine the level at which humans will level off on earth.”

11. Julia Whitty, a columnist for Mother Jones: “The only known solution to ecological overshoot is to decelerate our population growth faster than it’s decelerating now and eventually reverse it—at the same time we slow and eventually reverse the rate at which we consume the planet’s resources. Success in these twin endeavors will crack our most pressing global issues: climate change, food scarcity, water supplies, immigration, health care, biodiversity loss, even war. On one front, we’ve already made unprecedented strides, reducing global fertility from an average 4.92 children per woman in 1950 to 2.56 today—an accomplishment of trial and sometimes brutally coercive error, but also a result of one woman at a time making her individual choices. The speed of this childbearing revolution, swimming hard against biological programming, rates as perhaps our greatest collective feat to date.”

12. Colorado State University Professor Philip Cafaro in a paper entitled “Climate Ethics and Population Policy”: “Ending human population growth is almost certainly a necessary (but not sufficient) condition for preventing catastrophic global climate change. Indeed, significantly reducing current human numbers may be necessary in order to do so.“

13. Professor of Biology at the University of Texas at Austin Eric R. Pianka: “I do not bear any ill will toward people. However, I am convinced that the world, including all humanity, WOULD clearly be much better off without so many of us.”

14. Detroit News Columnist Nolan Finley: “Since the national attention is on birth control, here’s my idea: If we want to fight poverty, reduce violent crime and bring down our embarrassing drop-out rate, we should swap contraceptives for fluoride in Michigan’s drinking water.

http://thetruthwins.com/archives/30-population-control-quotes-that-show-that-the-elite-truly-believe-that-humans-are-a-plague-upon-the-earth

https://www.facts-are-facts.com/article/illuminati-one-billion-is-enough
Their goal is to reduce this number to a billion—and by any means possible: wars, famine, epidemics, disease and vaccines that make women infertile.

Nobody can say when public schools in Kansas nor the Universities / Community Colleges are going to be open for on campus classes at this point in time.

Technically, there are some counties with Stay at home orders (including mine  and Carl's). However, in reality, the LEO's are not pulling you over for being out , and making an essential trip is OK in any event.

The only thing keeping me off the road for some wind therapy is the 40 mph gusts. That said, I did see at least one Motorcycle (Harley tourer) and some scooters out, but this was in-town riding. Sunny with temps in the lower 70's. The local power company is reporting a number of powerpoles being blown down, but outages are under 200 customers as of this post.

I agree that the U.S. cases are greatly understated.  However, IMHO, cases in some other countries are even more understated.  I seriously doubt that we have surpassed China in number of cases.  Due to deception and faulty test kits (giving false negatives) their numbers are far from reliable.  They also sent those faulty test kits to other countries.  As far as Italy, I think their death percentage is highly overstated, due to understated number of cases.

I agree with understatement all around, some by error, but China's by intent.

As to Italy's death percentage, if you're looking at the site I use it's stated as deaths per 1 million of the population.  Italy and Spain have been hard hit.  Even hard hit, though, is 00.017% of the population.  For the non-mathematically oriented that is 17 in 100,000.

There are plenty of documented cases (and reports) of young people with no preexisting disability getting this sh!t and experiencing the worst of bad symptoms, and dying.  Not a statistically high percentage at all, but it's clearly possible.

The report, issued Wednesday by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, found that — as in other countries — the oldest patients had the greatest likelihood of dying and of being hospitalized. But of the 508 patients known to have been hospitalized, 38 percent were notably younger — between 20 and 54. And nearly half of the 121 patients who were admitted to intensive care units were adults under 65, the C.D.C. reported.

Just saw a report on Fox, a doctor was speaking about masks, and had an angle I hadn't considered.

He said for every person testing positive for COVID-19 in the US, another 8-10 are walking around asymptomatic and potentially spreading it.  Since surgical masks prevent sneezes and coughs from spreading the virus by blocking the spray from exiting them (as opposed to n95 masks that are designed to prevent tiny droplets from entering them), it does make some sense that they were helping to prevent spread in countries that were utilizing them.

This doctor was recommending that, when our stockpiles allow it, such surgical and even n95 masks be used by the general public here in America.

For some reason I had a hunch that all those people wearing masks in Asian countries weren't just being foolish.

No, I don't plan on wearing masks anytime soon.  Don't shoot the messenger.

same comments about the hospital manager who dies in NY. friend said perfectly healthy, then read a few more lines and it is stated he had severe asthma aka upper respiratory disease.

most don't understand how bad wheat products are for the lungs and immune system.
https://lunginstitute.com/blog/21-foods-trigger-mucus-production-21-foods-reduce/

interesting NJ doesn't keep records of adults that die from the flu, yet they're stating how many adults are dying from the corona.

World Health Organization under the microscope: what went wrong with coronavirus?

As coronavirus started seeping from its origins in a Wuhan wet market in China late last year, the information coming from the World Health Organization (WHO) was one of dismissal, in line with the Chinese Communist Party's muzzling of the disease's potency.

US coronavirus deaths double in two days, surpasses 2,000

That's deaths,  not cases.  That's doubling.  In two days.  That kinda sucks.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s haunting briefing on Tuesday had something of this quality — a passionate message that New York was screwed and that the pretty extreme measures some of us have taken to be good citizens over the past three weeks weren’t really going to protect anybody.

Fortunately, the governor seemed determined to correct some of that impression on Wednesday with the news that
the growth rate in the number of hospital admissions had slowed significantly over the past two days.

Eye Opening DHHS Report Here  - -  Let  those who have eyes READ!

Trump Slowly Enlisting More Agencies in ‘Whole of Government’ Response to Virus

https://www.nytimes.com/2020/03/17/us/politics/coronavirus-government-army-corps.html

https://www.politico.com/news/2020/03/18/surgeon-general-social-distancing-not-enough-135377

"The shift came four days after an internal report from the Department of Health and Human Services — not yet shared with the public concluded that the “pandemic will last 18 months or longer and could include multiple waves of illness.”

The virus, the agency assumed, will likely cause “significant shortages for government, private sector, and individual U.S. consumers,” and coordination by the federal government would be imperative, according to the document.

The DHHS report mentioned above  - -  highlighted in yellow  - -  can be downloaded from the website linked above.  It is in pdf format.

https://www.businessinsider.com/coronavirus-cases-flu-like-drop-linked-with-high-heat-humidity-2020-3?op=1

The new study, which is not yet peer-reviewed and published by researchers in Beijing, China, suggests that for each degree in temperature increase and each percent humidity increase, the contagiousness of the disease caused by the coronavirus, named COVID-19, goes down.

"It indicates that the arrival of summer and rainy season in the Northern Hemisphere can effectively reduce the transmission of the COVID-19," the authors wrote.

Dr. Deborah Birx, who serves as the White House Coronavirus Response Coordinator, said during a press conference on Wednesday that the media has “frightened the American people” with salacious reporting surrounding the coronavirus outbreak.

Birx’s remarks come after leftist talking heads like MSNBC’s Chris Hayes have claimed that the coronavirus could kill 1% of the U.S. population, which is over 3.2 million people.

“We have done some things that are horizontal across the country, but we are collecting data now in a county by county granular way. So, it’s like any epidemic, it’s not equal everywhere,” Birx said. “There are places that are very spared and places where there is more. We have a very vast country with a lot of capacity and a lot of infrastructure.”

Read the above DHHS report downloadable from my posts above.  Remember when you read it that it's from the Department of Health and Human Services, not the media or "leftist talking heads".

I take it, that you have never worked for the Federal Govt in any capacity.

I have, and currently do..... What's the point?

I wholeheartedly agree, Serk!

I like Fauci.  I've seen the articles that reveal some of his possible political leanings, but I respect him as a scientist.  CONSIDERING ITALY IS CURRENTLY AROUND 10,000 DEATHS, I PRAY ANTHONY FAUCI IS WRONG.

https://techstartups.com/2020/03/28/dr-vladimir-zelenko-now-treated-699-coronavirus-patients-100-success-using-hydroxychloroquine-sulfate-zinc-z-pak-update/

Last Wednesday, we published the success story from Dr. Vladimir Zelenko, a board-certified family practitioner in New York, after he successfully treated 350 coronavirus patients with 100 percent success using a cocktail of drugs: hydroxychloroquine, in combination with azithromycin (Z-Pak), an antibiotic to treat secondary infections, and zinc sulfate.  Dr. Zelenko said he saw the symptom of shortness of breath resolved within four to six hours after treatment.

Now, Dr. Zelenko provides updates on the treatment after he successfully treated 699 COVID-19 patients in New York. In an exclusive interview with former New York Mayor, Rudy Giuliani, Dr. Vladmir Zelenko shares the results of his latest study, which showed that out of his 699 patients treated, zero patients died, zero patients intubated, and four hospitalizations.

Dr. Zelenko said the whole treatment costs only $20 over a period of 5 days with 100% success.

With China reporting only about 3000 deaths, even considering their dishonesty, I have a tough time understanding the hat he's pulling these numbers out of.  Even Italy is only reporting 10,000 ish.  What would make us so terribly different?

But I am not a highly paid disease scientist, I'm only a lowly peasant!

Yeah, I guess it's about time we get away from buying cheap Chinese crap!  Talk about rubbing salt in the wound!  Sometimes I really do think they're trying to kill us all!

'A goodwill gesture?': Countries hard-hit by COVID-19 return defective protective gear sent by China

America also just received a shipment of goodies from China today!  The first of  20 such shipments.
I'm thinking it may be wise if we have some inspectors look over this stuff before we distribute it out into the field!

https://www.scpr.org/news/2020/03/29/91508/project-airbridge-to-expedite-arrival-of-needed-su/

A planeload of health care supplies arrived in New York City on Sunday from China, part of an effort the White House says will expedite the arrival of goods that are badly needed to fight the coronavirus pandemic.

According to the Trump administration, Sunday's arrival was the first of approximately 20 flights through early April for a public-private partnership it's calling Project Airbridge. The White House says the flights "will result in these critical medical supplies reaching the United States in 2-3 days vs. the normal 20-40 days they would take to arrive if they were shipped by sea."

(Texas Gorvernor) Abbott announces new travel restrictions to combat COVID-19

Abbott said travel to and from Louisiana will be restricted to those handling essential services. He said this applies to travel by road from any location in the state of Louisiana and will be enforced by the Texas Department of Public Safety at entry points into the state and those coming from Louisiana will have to self-quarantine for 14 days. The order does not apply to travel related to commercial activity, military service, emergency response, health response, or critical infrastructure functions. The order goes into effect at noon on Mar. 30. He also said people flying from Miami, Atlanta, Detroit and Chicago, California and Washington state into Texas must be self-quarantined.

Weekly deaths in the US down by 7,000 - 10,000 for the week ending March 7 2020! Silver lining with people changing their behaviors during COVID-19? Raw weekly death numbers taken from @CDCgov:

Coronavirus Cases: 141,854 Deaths: 2,475 Recovered:4,435

So at this point we are plus around 8k people and that was March 7 so the numbers will be higher today.

Something's wrong here.  Down by 7,000-10,000 on 7 March?  The U.S. is only at 2,500 deaths  today, 29 March.

Sorry

The Deaths from Covid 19 were 2475, but the lives that would usually be taken through various means didn't happen to the tune of 7 to 10k.

The life saving cause is the stay in place order. So we have a plus of about 8k people that are still around that would normally have been killed.

I found this kind of interesting that the Covid 19 is actually saving lives.
