We need a chapter on the forum for “Wild Ass Conspiracy Theories”  uglystupid2

Yes we do, and a "lets talk about jesus" thread, and maybe even a " i read about this medicine on the internet" thread.

Mock Him if you wish.

But, with all of this death and mayhem going on.

This is a pleasant change!

AMERICA FIRST: U.S. OUTBIDDING THE REST OF THE WORLD FOR MEDICAL SUPPLIES
by Kevin Ryan

Countries around the world are complaining that the Trump administration has been outbidding them for medical supplies, and is using hardball tactics to secure goods for the American people.

A shipment of respirator masks made by the US manufacturer 3M that was bound for Germany, for example, was diverted in Thailand and sent to the United States instead. About 200,000 N95 masks were diverted to the US as they were being transferred between planes in Thailand, according to the Berlin authorities who had ordered the masks for the police force.

Andreas Geisel, the Social Democrat interior minister for Berlin state, described the diversion as “an act of modern piracy”. “This is no way to treat trans-Atlantic partners,” Geisel said, saying the U.S. is using “Wild West methods.”

It’s not just the Trump administration wielding U.S. clout… American companies and private citizens have been outbidding other countries in the global market for coronavirus protective equipment.

Valérie Pécresse, head of the local council in Paris, said she “found a stock of masks that was available and Americans – I’m not talking about the American government – but Americans, outbid us,” Pécresse said. “They offered three times the price and they proposed to pay upfront. I can’t do that… So we were caught out.” Pécresse was eventually able to obtain 1.5m masks elsewhere.

Two other French regional government heads told a similar story of “US buyers waving wads of cash” managing to wrest control of a consignment of masks as it was about to be dispatched from China to France. The masks were on a plane at Shanghai airport that was ready to take off when the group of US buyers turned up and offered three times what their French counterparts were paying. Another French official said the group were acting for the US government.

FEMA is coordinating flights for US buyers, but, unlike foreign countries, says it will not nationalize the American distribution network, arguing that private distributors can do a better job. The US has a significant advantage in its fleet of large air freighters, three times the size of China’s.

I've suspected this, but this isn't good...

Half of people with coronavirus have no symptoms, data shows

https://www.foxnews.com/health/half-people-coronavirus-have-no-symptoms-data-show

This virus is pretty strange and curious.  It affects older people worse (symptoms and death) on average, but plenty of children and younger people have died; and 101yo lives.  Some have terrible symptoms (fever, respiratory, drowning lungs and pneumonia) and others mild symptoms, and now many with no symptoms at all.  They say it will likely act (worse) on preexisting conditions (which makes perfect sense), and maybe it does, but many individual bad cases (and death) in younger and middle age people have had no identifiable preexisting conditions at all.  From infection, it takes longer to show symptoms than most other viruses (if there are any symptoms at all), so people walk around unknowingly transmitting to others (Typhoid Mary).  It's killing many more men than women, especially older ones.  And it's been reported by scientists that it is very unlikely an engineered virus because it lacks certain things they would expect to find, and don't.  To this layman, it's strange and curious enough to make me wonder if it might be. (not that that really matters at the moment)

It makes me wonder if it is somehow acting on some genetic or DNA differences between humans.

There have been plenty of plagues and diseases and viruses in history, and they have all been pretty well figured out, but even with the world medical communities bearing down on this one hard, it does not sound like this one is figured out very well at all yet.

______

My age and condition makes me prime for bad results if infected.  I've not worn a mask for groceries (or anything else) and I only have a couple very dirty dust masks.  And now they are saying we better wear them.  The best thing I have is black microfiber balaclavas with eye-hole, but I'll look like a freeking terrorist.  And a neoprene skull biker face mask which is worse (gift, never wore the stupid thing).  And my full face helmet is out.

Like Jess said this is a weird one.   Seems it's every day I hear Fauci or Birx say they are learning more about  it every day.

Colorado Governor  is recommending cloth face masks to prevent the asymptomatic carriers from infecting others.   I'm guessing if there were enough available, they would recommend everyone wear n95s as they prevent both transmission and infection.

I will say the thought has crossed my mind that the CDC may be favoring models that embellish the numbers in order to strike fear and instill distancing behaviors into the public,  especially our youth and young adults.   I would frown on this, but certainly wouldn't put it past them.   I also do not have any doubt the WHO,  which is in actuality a UN based organization,  strives toward global socialized medicine at the very least.   I believe they would also like to see a redistribution of resources and wealth on a worldwide scale.   I am not convinced that the  CDC wants to see our President fail, or fall.   I could be wrong.

There are a lot of individual horrible stories.  Don't paint your wide picture from anecdotes.  Step back and look at the numbers.  There's an old proverb about not seeing the forest for the trees.

Yes, there are horrific stories of damage and death from COVID-19.  The "experts" are now estimating that 95% of the cases are light or completely asymptomatic.  It is a horrible thing.  We do need to take precautions to protect ourselves.  It's not the end of the world for us all.  It's not worth destroying our world to avoid the damage it will do (unless you live in New York City).

I hope they can get a test going soon that will show how many of us have had the virus and are immune.

Willow,  I've never said this is the end of the world.   I have never insinuated this will be a worst case scenario.  In fact,  I have said on numerous occasions that we will get through this and our country will bounce back.   I've said this isn't Captain Trips.  I've also said it's serious.   I haven't been wrong.

I certainly don't support "destroying our world",  and feel somewhat powerless ifluencing the final fate of our planet!   I'm merely a lowly peasant, not a man of earth rattling significance and global magnitude such as yourself!

Nevada Governor Sisolak Found Hoarding Coronavirus Treatment Drug

By: Jacob Engels, Gateway Pundit, April 3, 2020:

Just about a week after the Trump hating Democrat Governor of Nevada limited the ability for physicians to prescribe Hydroxychloroquine to treat Corona virus, news broke that Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak’s own Department of Corrections has been hoarding the drug for prisoners.

Sisolak claimed that he was doing so to prevent the hoarding of the medicine, despite the fact that you could only obtain it through a prescription.
Now, 360 News Las Vegas has discovered that Sisolak’s Department of Corrections has begun hoarding the drug following his questionable decree. As is the case with most Democrats and many Trump haters, you must do as they say and not as they do.

Actually, A full face helmet is probably pretty good protection from this crap.

As soon as I leave the house, I'm never touching my face (or any other thing I don't have to).  I've got that discipline down already.  One trick is to stick your hands in your pockets (in an earlier life, this was known as Air Force gloves   Grin).

This interview on TED with Bill Gates is fairly eye opening as it relates to the virus. I would recommend reading the excerpts or watching the interview. Also he speaks as if it was his decision and others to opt for quarantine. Most of what I clipped here is Gates own words. I do not know his motives or goals but I dont think I like some of his directions.

Did Bill Gates Just Reveal The Real Reason Behind The Lock-Downs?

https://off-guardian.org/2020/04/04/did-bill-gates-just-reveal-the-reason-behind-the-lock-downs/

Even more importantly, as noted in an April 1 article in OffGuardian, there may be dramatically more deaths from the economic breakdown than from COVID-19 itself.

The accelerator was launched March 10 with approximately $125 million in seed funding. Three days later Gates left Microsoft.

Eventually what we’ll have to have is certificates of who’s a recovered person, who’s a vaccinated person […] Because you don’t want people moving around the world where you’ll have some countries that won’t have it under control, sadly. You don’t want to completely block off the ability for people to go there and come back and move around. So eventually there will be this digital immunity proof that will help facilitate the global reopening up.”

As at least one expert has observed, “as much as ninety-nine percent of active cases [of COVID-19] in the general population are ‘mild’ and do not require specific medical treatment” to recover.]

” replied Gates. “So people who are recovered, it appears, have very effective antibodies in their blood. So you could go, transfuse them and only take out white cells, the immune cells.”

However, Gates continued, he and his colleagues have dismissed that possibility because it’s “fairly complicated – compared to a drug we can make in high volume, you know, the cost of taking it out and putting it back in probably doesn’t scale as well.”

Then a few seconds later, at 33:45, Gates drops another bomb:

We don’t want to have a lot of recovered people […] To be clear, we’re trying – through the shut-down in the United States – to not get to one percent of the population infected. We’re well below that today, but with exponentiation, you could get past that three million [people or approximately one percent of the U.S. population being infected with COVID-19 and the vast majority recovering]. I believe we will be able to avoid that with having this economic pain.”

instill panic, inflate the numbers, destroy the economy for nov., cover up the fraudulent waste of our medical dollars when new hospitals are being built like four and five star hotels and all under bed capacity and supplies for the surrounding populace they are required to serve all the while hospital executives are getting extremely rich not to mention the builders building these hospitals. politicians have their hands in there also.  And people wonder why their medical costs are so high.
something else I found out, rural hospitals are limited to 25 bed capacity per govt regulations.

https://www.westernjournal.com/cdc-tells-hospitals-list-covid-cause-death-even-just-assuming-contributed/?utm_source=Facebook&utm_medium=PostTopSharingButtons&utm_campaign=websitesharingbuttons

Issued March 24, the guidance tells hospitals to list COVID-19 as a cause of death regardless of whether or not there’s actual testing to confirm that’s the case.

Instead, even if the coronavirus was just a contributing factor or if it’s “assumed to have caused or contributed to death,” it can be listed as the primary cause.

for the ones that call me names, this UN 2030 Agenda was put into effect in 2015. I read articles years ago about future of mandatory vaccinations and flu shots for all, many will die from them, as many do now. one just has to read testing reports of vaccines and flu shots and the % that have major complications and death.   This is part of the UN culling of the world population.

Goal 3) Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages

Translation: Mandate 100+ vaccines for all children and adults at gunpoint, threatening parents with arrest and imprisonment if they refuse to cooperate. Push heavy medication use on children and teens while rolling out "screening" programs. Call mass medication "prevention" programs and claim they improve the health of citizens.

Total enslavement of the planet by 2030
As the UN document says, "We commit ourselves to working tirelessly for the full implementation of this Agenda by 2030."

If you read the full document and can read beyond the fluffery and public relations phrases, you'll quickly realize that this UN agenda is going to be forced upon all the citizens of the world through the invocation of government coercion. Nowhere does this document state that the rights of the individual will be protected. Nor does it even acknowledge the existence of human rights granted to individuals by the Creator. Even the so-called "Universal Declaration of Human Rights" utterly denies individuals the right to self defense, the right to medical choice and the right to parental control over their own children.

The UN is planning nothing less than a global government tyranny that enslaves all of humanity while calling the scheme "sustainable development" and "equality."

It seems this may actually be very good since there is a natural immunity built up to this virus and people that have had it build antibodies, so if this is the case as you mention, the outbreak should be much less. Since more people actually have it and are functioning just like the normal cold bug. Since people have it and dont know it, I thought everyone hyped this as the sure death killer, that is why we are destroying the economy. So half of those tested have it and dont know, they would be a great source of antibodies wouldn't they? But I wonder why this is not being pursued.

The blatant use of threats against the people attending church or synagogue is outrageous and yet it goes undiscussed. One of the most important rights granted upon the people, the freedom of religion and freedom to worship has been met with threats of fines and arrest if you attend a religious service.

Whether a Protestant, Mormon, Baptist, Jewish, Born Again Christian, Catholic, Muslim, Presbyterian or any other faith you are forbidden to attend services at your chosen house of worship. In times of crisis people find solace, comfort and spiritual relief in these places. What’s good for the soul or spirit is good for the mind also and this hysteria is draining on the minds and will of the people but they’re not allowed their right to services.

instill fear and panic, well u know the rest. mainly because bankrupt states such as NY and NJ need Federal bailout money.
Murphy says coronavirus will cost N.J. and its neighbors at least $100B to start, and feds should pay.
https://www.nj.com/coronavirus/2020/03/murphy-says-coronavirus-will-cost-nj-and-its-neighbors-at-least-100b-and-feds-should-pay.html

2016 numbers most likely even worst on 2020.

bankrupt states all just completely shut down their states causing server economic hardship and a recession.

3. New Jersey:

$41.84 billion in total debt.
$255.2 billion in unfunded pension liabilities and other retirement benefits.
$396 in deficit per capita.

4. Illinois:

$35.5 billion in total debt.
$332.54 billion in unfunded pension liabilities and other retirement benefits.
$40 in deficit per capita.

7. California:

$118.7 billion in total debt.
$785.72 billion in unfunded liabilities and other retirement benefits.
$250 in surplus per capita.

9. New York:

$58.32 billion in total debt.
$349.81 billion in unfunded liabilities and other retirement benefits.
$125 in surplus per capita.

You never let a serious crisis go to waste. And what I mean by that it's an opportunity to do things you think you could not do before.

https://www.westernjournal.com/expert-covid-prediction-50k-hospitalizations-ny-april-1-turned-400-high/?utm_source=Facebook&utm_medium=PostTopSharingButtons&utm_campaign=websitesharingbuttons

As coronavirus models go, the one put forth by the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation at the University of Washington, or IHME, has been one of the more optimistic ones.

According to The Washington Post, the model predicted 38,000 to 162,000 deaths in the United States — lower than most models and lower than the White House estimate of 100,000 to 240,000 deaths.

Even though it may be conservative, however, the IHME model might not have been conservative enough.

Take New York, the epicenter of the disease. According to the IHME model, the state would have needed 50,962 hospital beds on April 1, on the way to peak usage April 9. On that day, it would need 76,130 hospital beds.

https://www.foxnews.com/opinion/sean-hannity-gov-cuomo-stop-denying-new-yorkers-hydroxychloroquine

New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo needs to IMMEDIATELY lift his pharmacy ban that is forcing New Yorkers stricken by the coronavirus into an already overburdened hospital system to get the potentially life-saving drug hydroxychloroquine.

Because of an executive order issued by the Democratic governor, any new prescriptions for hydroxychloroquine must go through the already overrun hospital system. This makes no sense.

Sources tell me that Cuomo has access to MILLIONS of doses of hydroxychloroquine right now. The federal government has tens of millions of doses and has made millions of doses available to the New York governor.

Maybe letting 'er run ain't so wise after all.

Sweden’s government is drawing up new legislation to allow it to take “extraordinary steps” to combat Covid-19, local media have reported, amid concern that its relatively soft approach may be leading to a higher death rate than in other Nordic countries.

Umm-k.  The "guidance" you linked is from the CDC, not Sweden.

Sweden, the one nation everyone was looking to as the bastion of freedom has dceided that coronavirus illness and death isn't worth the unbridled social freedom for the time being.  Imagine that. The experiment didn't work.

The Navy Captain (Hero|Whistleblower|Traitor, depending on your point of view) has it himself.
