I am relatively new to the group. I have been to 2 Inzanes so far and looking forward to Ashville. I saw the attendees are in the neighborhood of 300+ people. My question is how many members/active members there are? Sometimes I just wonder stupid stuff like that.

No one knows. Guys sell their bike, quit riding, die, or otherwise are “inactive”, yet they remain on the members list...

Like GIG said, nobody knows. But, it seems a lot less than 8 years ago.

A little bit of a tangent...
Two of my riding friends were looking for a new-to-them bike. I really pushed the Valkyrie, but they both thought it's too big and too old. Regardless of the fact mine has taken me coast to coast, to Montana, to Virginia and elsewhere, trouble-free...
They wouldn't dare try that on their current rides. (both Harleys)
PS.. Part of my sales pitch was the quality of this forum.

If one of the columns in the members list were "date last active", which you can see for individual members if you click on their handle to see their summary, then you would be able to sort the members according to that, which would give you an idea. Unfortunately, we don't have that column to sort by. It wouldn't, however, be a good indicator of those who show up at events but who aren't recent online participants.
My guess would be 800-1500 active members, based on no inside information whatsoever.

Peruse one of the Really Long political posts. Doing that will give you an idea. Then peruse a Long tech post. Another idea of who's active. It varies-board usage-by the minute by the hour by-well ya git the idea. RIDE SAFE.

Ya dasn't have to follow the political post but you can look and see who and how often duz post. Even 4 5 6 pages long just looking at handles be a breeze! also you can look at the members avatar and see how many posts he or she have made. RIDE SAFE.

On this board in today there have so far been 295 members logged in. In the past week there have been 584 members while in the last month there have been 829.
Those counts will be low as one can peruse the board without logging in and these days there are a lot of active members that do not come to this board regularly but get their contacts through Facebook.
It's less than it has been in the past and more than it will be in the future.
