… what I am referring to is one of those two stroke street bikes from the early 70s, that's a 550 GT, right?...

-Mike

Yes, the GT550 was a 2-stroke triple with the "ram air" head and was produced from '72 - '77.  Mine was a black '75.

besides our old Valks,   would be new goldwing,  new valkyrie, new F6B,  in my top 5 and then for grins and giggles a yamaha Vmax then 5th is a toss up probably an African twin or something along those lines for more off road purposes.    I guess I like 6 cylinders?

The annual Las Vegas auction by Mecum was just televised and there were some honeys there that went for big dollars.  A few Triumphs, BSAs, Ducatis, Matchless', and Vincents would be welcome in the stable.
That would be a good meetup for those snowbound to cure the mid-winter blues.

Before I posted my list, I went on Honda's website. It appears the Valkyrie and F6B are no longer. The base Goldwing appears to be very much like, if not the same as the F6B. I know the Valkyrie was not too popular of a seller, even though it is a fantastic bike according to most people. As of last year or so, they were all but giving them away. I don't know how well the F6B sold, comparatively speaking, so it maybe made more sense to just call it a stripped (probably incorrect term) Wing.

5 Bikes, if I won the lottery???

- Rocket III Touring (With proper fairing and lowers) for cross country travel

- BMW R1200C Montauk just cause it's such a funky design

- Homda CBX 1000 just cause an inline 6 just looks crazy (and sounds AWESOME)

- Moto Guzzi (tie between) Griso or V7

- Harley Davidson Sportster 1200 (an actual "sporty" one that hasn't been lowered)
