El Moro Nat Monument

An off the beaten path place in NM. I've passed through there many times and have hiked the path to see the inscriptions. It's 20 miles east of Zuni where adobe ovens are still in use today.

I still haven't made it there but its still on my list.
Now, also very important, El Morro is just over 100 miles due north of Pie Town located on hwy 60, decent food but more importantly "always" fresh homemade pie.
Makes for a nice stop.

That was cool. Thanks. We've been by there many times as well but haven't stopped to hike the trail. Will have to do that next time. We've been to Chaco Canyon several times though and hiked both the valley and the upper cliff trail. Last year we went to Acoma Sky City (the city is on top of a mesa) and took the tour. The Acoma still don't have much use for the Spanish.

Better to be judged by 12, then carried by 6.
