Beautiful east Tennessee ( GOD'S Country )

« on: January 30, 2020, 07:50:30 AM »

Had a couple friends that are members here that own or have owned a Valkyrie and now have a Goldwing. They claimed for the low miles and condition of this bike that it was a great deal for the price. It's 585 miles away right now and I burned up all my time with the trip out west and the after Christmas ride to Florida last year. Not sure when I'll be able to go get it  Undecided

I'll be selling my Interstate soon its loaded up nice with some hard to find accessories. I'll post detailed pictures in the " Classifieds " when I get them together . I'll still be a Valkyrie rider I will never sell my yellow bike.

someone's got an addiction to V6 engines I see?   Undecided

why not is a good comment seeing as I have 6 cycles in my garage ( 2 Valks,  fjr1300 and magna being kids, and 2 scooters 250cc and 650cc)  This spring 1, maybe 2, will be for sale and will probably not be the 2 Valks....   cooldude

Joe; Go for it. I still have my '05 wing and still love it. The ride, cruise control and better wind management is much appreciated. I got my current valk without seeing it in person. Haven't regretted it even though it needed some $$$ and work I didn't know about.

Lets see...
Kury grips
Kury highway pegs
Kury trunk rack
Full set of wind wings
Chrome tranny covers
Chrome frame covers
Ultimate seat with lo-pro-fi passenger backrest
Chrome bag trims
and unless I'm mistaken... the same ol' school slash cut Cobra pipes that are on mine (by the way, I call dibs on those if you decide ya don't like 'em 2funny)

First things to do...
Move highway peg mounts to the vertical bar!
(The way you lean this is a MUST, trust me Brother.)
Send ECM here... with $375. (Worth every penny!)
http://www.guhlmotors.com/honda-reflash.html
Slap a DarkSide on it, and feed it fuel!

Cool score Bro! Caint wait to see it cooldude

Yeah, anywhere on the horizontal the mounts are the first thing to hit.
Decreases the lean by 1/2"  to 1" each side.
I caint afford to give that up.
I've also increased the nose height and never ride with the rear pre-load below max (for more ground clearance). Lean angle is the whales biggest downfall. Lotta Wings get wrecked skinnin' hard parts, and DarkSide let's ya get all the way down there real easy

My old 2001 1800 would scuff the hell out of the header heat shields when getting stupid. Granted it was close to 100K miles on the stock suspension ran all the way up since I owned it. I started shifting a cheek off the seat in tight turns to compensate a little.

The F6B doesn't seem to have that problem, then again I haven't really gotten as ignorant in the twisties on my F6B since T-boning the waterhead that pulled out in front of me at the Veteran Day ride in 2018.

I really miss the auto pre-load adjustment button on the wing's compared to the F6B Sad

Yes, on yours. Some of those "Kury" could be ShowChrome (which would be better chrome) but they're definitely aftermarket.
That belly pan's there too.
Mine saved my ass up at Elrod Falls that day. Raked the bottom on tree stump 2 up! Woulda ripped a big hole in the coolant jug without it.
