Probably shipped from a third party tire warehouse. It just seems to me they are a pretty savvy business operator, and wouldn't be in the business of selling anything at a loss, much less something so infinitesimal as motorcycle tires. Which brings me to wonder if the wholesale cost on the Avon Chromes are less than $77 ? |

Pretty sure my order said sold and shipped by Walmart. I've had other orders that had a disclaimer about 3rd party before. I wonder if they dropped Avon as a supplier.

Pretty common these days, but kinda interesting - my tyres have shipped, but although they were "Sold and shipped by" Wal Mart, they're being shipped directly from the "COOPER TIRE & RUBBER COMPANY" warehouse in Albany, Georgia...
(Cooper Tire and Rubber Company is the parent company of Avon)
So Wal Mart had 'em drop shipped straight from the manufacturer...

Now that's efficiency! I ordered 2 tyres in a single order, they shipped at the same time utilizing the same carrier to the same address.
One has been delivered.
Somehow in transit the tyres went their separate ways and are evidently not being delivered by the same delivery truck.....

Figures. I get an email from Walmart saying that one of the items I ordered is now on backorder. Of course, it's the front tire  When I ordered, it didn't even say anything like 5 left, or anything like that, as others had posted that they saw when they ordered. I guess that's what happens when I get my hopes up. I know I ordered early. I hope none of you get the same thing. |
