not everyone can be so lucky to live a long, somewhat healthy life like George Burns did well into his 90's while smoking daily. Just ask my Aunt who just passed away last week as well as my 2 Uncles also in very bad shape not even age 70 yet, all smoking like a fish since late teens.

 Very sorry to hear my favorite conservative talking head is going to be treated for lung cancer. I've been listening to Rush of 30 years. When he is not there I hardly listen to the progarm. I hope and pray his team of Doc's can get him thru this situation. We know he is "On loan from God".

A phrase Rush used almost daily was referring to his papers with subject matter to talk about and note he was hanging onto them with his formally nicotine stained fingers. Did he not realize those cigars he smoked after giving up cigs could lead to this? I sincerely hope he beats this just as he did with opioids and his lose of hearing a number of years ago. He currently has a weekly audience of 28 million followers and I myself have learned so much from him. He is always ahead of the game and knows the political culture better than anyone else out there in my opinion.
During his hearing lose surgery, Art Bell or Coast to Coast AM, got his listeners to conduct mass prayers ( I believe in the power of mass prayers ) for his successful surgery. Maybe George Noory can conduct one with his huge C2CAM audience also.

that's a major bummer for Rush and I'm sorry to hear it. I've listened to him since the late 1980's.
I don't know if it's operable or curable... but I hope so. Praying for him.
He's a titan in the world of conservative thought.

I've never been a Rush fan, I always thought him a bit..... brash.....
The word was he'd get the Presidential Medal of Freedom "In a few months"
President Trump has Melania Trump award it to him DURING the State of the Union address.....
