As of Feb. 1, they closed the doors....in my opinion it was one of the best, they test all kinds motorcycles and equipment, how to do's and so on. I guess after all these years of not selling ad's it magazine came back to haunt them. Too bad, great mag. One of reasons they didn't sell advertising was they felt it might influence their opinion on products.

I subscribed for several years. They packed a lot of useful information into that magazine. But it isn't surprising as so many magazines and newspapers are gone. You wonder if at some point libraries will begin to disappear with so little current published material available.

I canceled my subscription many years ago because of their blatant editorial, supportive bias towards ex staff members businesses. It was a hard choice since I'd been a subscriber since the 60s when it was Road Rider.

Well that's a bummer. Don, do you know that for sure? I've been subscribing for most of 25 years.
I always respected their opinions of bikes they tested and would compare with other magazines tests.
I think I' paid up through March of 2021.... I don't suppose I'll get a refund?

Yes, as Serk says it's a done deal...I am paid up all the way to Oct. also. But I see you can request a refund if you jump thru the hoops..

It is a sign of the times. Some have tried internet subscription and failed. Such a shame.

I was a subscriber a long time. A few more years than I really read the magazine, but as they piled up and the renewal came due I decided I would jump ship. It's a sad sign of the times, but I don't read magazines much anymore. Too much "free" content (nothing comes free).
There was a lot of good content in MCN. I wish there was a way it could be cateloged and maintained on-line.

I have subscribed for 21 years and saved every copy and still refer to the articles from time to time when I get into things I'm not too sure about.

I have subscribed probably 24 or more years too.. can't remember. I used to keep all my issues. I did throw them all away a number of years ago BUT I did keep their 3 issues that reviewed or tested the "new" 1997 Valkyrie. Their testers nailed this bike from the start - it's everything and more the testers said it was!!

I agree with the comments above. Great magazine for bike and product reviews and great tech articles as well. I have been a subscriber for about 10 years. I have been able to get to the online archives off and on since they announced the closure. I am hoping they will keep the archive somehow.

Somewhere in this house, I have a copy of an issue with their "top 10" in various performance categories. Our Valkyries held a top spot in shortest 60-0 braking for years.
