Due to forecasted storms, I had other priorities that needed to be addressed and completely forgot about the SOTU. What did I miss?
I'm sure President Trump touted the economy and several other successes, what else? I previously predicted Speaker Pelosi would find some way to be disrespectful. Was I correct? Edited: Just watch some of the early news. The Speaker did put on a show for us. Some will say part of her stunt was in reaction to President Trump ignoring her attempted hand shake. I doubt she didn't have her obvious stunt planned.
After the Iowa Caucus debacle, Bloomberg smells blood in the water and is doubling his campaign staff, Biden finished fourth and two losers took the top two spots. This could get ugly.

The President showed more restraint than I thought he was capable of, I'll give him that much. But you could see / sense the tension between Trump and Pelosi.

Yep To be honest, based on what Speaker Pelosi has done and how she has been with the President, if it were me I wouldn't have shaken her hand either. That would have indicated mutual respect and that would have been another lie. Rams

Or.... He was afraid she would file assault charges for crushing her hand.... (which he would Probly be guilty of)

Trump really didn’t give them any ammunition to use against him. It was all positive and although he referenced prior administrations he never said Obama once. That and not bringing up impeachment was a win for Trump. All his guests were great and deserving.

SCHOOL CHOICE ! ! ! ! ! ! !
MY President !
If there was one single issue/example that demonstrates the Left's racism and contempt they have for the people they claim to champion is School Choice. The Left blocks it or strips it away at every chance it gets. I hear arguments about the teachers union and that it would remove needed money from the system. Nonsense. Keep them stupid and give them just enough to keep them dependant and voting by telling them it's the other guys' fault they're poor and that they want to take the little we give you away. THERE'S your institutional racism.
Remember when Howard Stern used to have that KKK guy on and they used to play the telephone recording you would hear if you called the KKK hotline. Every recording started with "Wake Up White People". I really wish there would be a alternate universe where someone was yelling "Wake Up Black People" and shake some sense into them. Members of my family and every adult and kid out of school I know of color, is working. Every one. Our kids are buying homes and all own cars. Nobody is worrying financialy, thank goodness. BUT, not one of them is gonna vote for Trump.

She used the same story last week in her state of the state speech. She (regrettably) is my governor, I turned her off as soon as she started that story.

I didn't watch it either cuz I knew how it would turn out. We've all heard of Trump's accomplishments so nothing new there I assume. And we all knew the majority of the Dems would sit on their hands looking like they have been sucking lemons for a week...again nothing new. I watched snippets of it during morning news, often they showed Pelosi making a production of tearing up her copy of the speech, an act I felt was rather juvenile at best. As for Trump not shaking Pelosi's hand, can't say I blame him. Between that and the tearing up of the speech, both probably preplanned. There wasn't nearly the TV coverage in 1959 as now, yet in all the years I've been of voting age(nearly 61 yrs. now) and had some interest in what's going on, the minority party for the most part always reacts negatively at such events. Not always so pronounced as the last few years, but as I said..."for the most part." I expect it and pay little attention to it, since the minority will seldom give credence to anything positive accomplished by the majority. Both parties are equally guilty. Reminds me of years ago duing a pickup basketball game at a local grade school outdoor court. We had plenty of kids to make up more than two teams but only one ball so we decided as a group to make numerous substitutions in the teams' lineup so all could play. Only one hitch developed, the kid that owned the ball flatly stated that since it was his ball he was playing all the time, not to be replaced even if temporary. If not...he was going home. I lived less than a block away so while others played what I loosely referred to as "tackle" basketball, I ran home and got my ball. All cheered with one exception, so we sent him packing with his own ball. We had a blast, all got to play and we ended up doing it at least once a week for the rest of the summer. The point is, sour grapes show up in many forms. It's my ball and we either play by my rules or I take it and go home. In politics it works much the same way and quite foolishly demonstrated at times. If what you're proposing isn't what we want or didn't come up with the idea, regardless of the benefit to the populace, we won't go along with it. Child's play at an adult level but not an adult approach to a solution.

I think it was before Trump's election, the Black vote question came up. Basically his response was what has the other side done for you? Why not give me a chance. Evidently they can't see the difference or don't want to see it. Either way, it's a shame.

Pollsters starting last fall were coming up with a favorability or approval rating in the Black community for President Trump of 34 to 35 percent and this has stayed consistent for months. Rasmussen puts it now at I believe 44 percent. Perhaps there is some light on the horizon.

Wouldn’t it be great it we didn’t have to have voting blocks based on the color of ones skin or their families country of origin? Isn’t it sad our politics and our government practically insures separating us by our differences?

Yep. We are all Americans. It is very sad. And the differences are further exploited by social media, Hollywood, and the universities. Saw a movie recently in which a black woman thwarts off the advances of a very nice and respectable black man, who happens to be a Republican, by stating she could never trust a black Republican. That Ari guy went to American university (where my daughter attended and graduated from) and read students "offensive" quotes from Democrats that the students automatically believed were Trump quotes. I've seen so many of these types of videos on campuses where everything is ass backwards.
