My brother and have been kicking around the idea of printing a small book of our father's stories that everyone seamed to enjoy. Some of you mentioned more then once to him that he should put them in a book. That being said I would like to know how much interest there is before I go to the expense of having them printed. Thanks to Daniel for sending me a link to a company that can help.

Dad didn't get the chance to write his final story since he got sick so fast. My brother will be likely writing that using dad's  final Facebook post.

Mark, what timing...yesterday I picked up an old issue of American Motorcyclist, I save all the copies, it was the April, 2018 issue and the last page was a article called A Ride, A Lighter and a Little Luck by Wayne A. Doenges.  I had read the acticle before and now reading it again, I said what a great story.l  I agree start writing it would be great to read all his great memories again... cooldude

Mark,
I have never had the pleasure of meeting you, your family, brother or your dad. I for one would be interested in your fathers stories either book form or manuscript. All stories that he was kind enough to share with the rest of us via this board has been a fascinating glimpse into the times of past rider adventures.

My family faced a similar conundrum some years ago when some family members wanted a book published of my grandfathers memoirs. The cost and some of the aunts and uncles feelings that it was too private stopped the actual publication and it took years for me to get the entire set of memoirs. I now have them in a manuscript form that if other relatives want a copy I can simply email them a copy.

There are some relatively inexpensive methods these days for producing/printing limited runs of books in various formats. Could perhaps also be done with one of the many on-line photo book services I would imagine.
I would be interested in purchasing a copy of a book of your Dad's stories for sure. I always enjoyed reading the ones he posted...an interesting man who led what looked to me from the brief glimpse I had from those stories, an interesting and honorable life (which included Motorcycles Smiley)
