Grin Mr. Disney does. Somewhere around $150 a person. (But it makes grandkids happy, so it’s worth every penny)  cooldude

Went there every year on Christmas Eve when stationed at March AFB.

It was as close to Christmas as you could get in So Cal.

Whatever you do, never go on the It's A Small World ride...... you won't be able to get that terrible song out of your head for weeks.

how was the waiting lines to go on rides?  did you go on a weekend or weekday?  Last time I went to Great America amusement park was a Saturday and vowed never ever to go again on a weekend.  Waiting in line for over 1 hour per ride is just stupid.  So, you spend 10 hours going on 10-11 rides all day long.  Not my idea of a great fun day.

There is no doubt it’s crazy expensive. Don’t get me started on the cost of food and drink. But, there is much to see and do. Kids love it, and that makes me happy.  Wink (Right now I’d pay 3 grand for a rickshaw driver)  Wink

It was expensive years ago, and covered no food (also expensive), and you couldn't get a drink of anything.

But what we discovered was on Christmas Eve, the kids all got taken home early, and the park cleared out to nearly deserted about 7:30P, and you could just walk up and get on every ride in the park, one after the other.  Or do the best coasters three times in a row (no lines anywhere, so you just stayed in your seats).

The wife and I would get cups of ice, and take our smuggled mini airline liquor bottles, and ride the aerial tramway back and forth across the fully Christmas lighted-up park, and get mellow.

I've never been to another park since those days as I don't like the crowds.

Rob taking kids and grandkids makes great memories, good for you

I took Bonnie for her birthday last April. Stayed at a 2br timeshare for 139 for the week one exit away from the entrance gate and they gave us 400 off tickets for 4 days plus waterpark tickets (we didnt use) and 100 for parking lot.

Unfortunately I will never get back the 2 hrs spend on listening to the presentation but it was the first day which was a rainy morning and we did get to the park Wild Kingdom ? by noon so...

Missed the crowds, only lines for a few rides.  Went on the star wars ride 3 times with no line (the one where you are sitting in the shuttle)

Only a few rides with long lines but with the free app you could schedule I think 4 or 5 rides and there is a separate line that cuts most of the time out in the Magic Kingdom and the other parks.

Wild Safari was a nice change. Epcot is always fun but needs some more fresh stuff to do.

The only one we could not get on was the avatar ride. you needed to book that days ahead.  We also brought water into the parks in our day packs and some snacks, paying just for lunch   When we would go with the kids years ago we would stop at pigglywiggly after leaving the parks and get lunch together for the next 2 days and bring it in with some cold packs.  Saved hundreds easily.

A people trap set by a mouse.

We took the Granddaughters to World in Orlando last July, big mistake.  It was so hot an humid that
even the kids could not enjoy the days.

Yeah Roger, Florida in July would not be my cup of tea either. We’ve been here many times over the decades, and have learned a few things. Don’t come on weekends, holidays, July. I feel kind of bad for mentioning this, but the ban on Chinese visitors due to the corona virus (or corn virus as my granddaughter calls it) has been a boon to us this time. Usually there are hordes of Chinese visitors here, not this year.

Nice Picture.  You should have painted yourself olive green like the statue.
Now you tell me ! Today we will be in California AdventureLand, so no chance for a retake. (Maybe I’ll dress up as one of the Cars for a pic)

A little less known info on drinks in Disney...if you go to any quick serve food station that sell fountain soda, you can get free water and ice if you ask for it....so on those HOT days, you dont have to lug multiple bottles of water with you...and if you do, you have ice in a cup...

Will be heading to the world in June...boys are 15 and 16 and will more than likely be our last BIG vaca before they head off to college...

Enjoy your time there...aside from my motorcycle trips, my favorite place  to vacation...

I like amusement parks.

The visitors are there and not where I like to go.

Although I did go to Typhoon Lagoon in Florida years ago and really enjoyed it.
