Thank's for adding me! this post serves two purposes. 1. I get to say high to everyone. 2. I can help move that wall post further down the list!

I bought my '99 IS a couple of weeks ago, I've only got to ride it a few times as it's still winter in Amarillo, TX. I fell in love with these bikes in 03 when I bought a new 1800C. It wasn't in my price range at the time.

There is little known history for the bike. It is in pristine condition so I guess it's been kept inside. Plans are for new timing belts, going to start on the glass pack exhaust mod this weekend, oh and a seat. I know from experience the stock ones are not for the long haul. I've already added LED headlights and a FM modulator for my iTunes. Is there anything else I should consider while I'm prepping for the riding season. Most of my trips will be to Houston and Corpus. Hopefully I can meet some of the Texas riders on my ventures.

Welcome BK.   Smiley

You want metal valve stems and not the 2-piece Honda ones when you can get to them.  The rubber ones will crack at the rim, and can fly off with rapid deflation at speed.

Check out the Texas board where you will find many friendly members

One great fellow is Valker, who I think is northeast of you in Pampa

But I have never come across a Texan who I did not like

Welcome and Agreed.

Those pipes are worth at least a Buck two ninety eight.   Should you not want to store them, let me know.   I'd be happy to keep'em for you.  Wink

Do yourself a favor and service the rear end just for peace of mind if nothing else.
Welcome to the madness and we expect to see you at Inzane this year!
