An internet voting app that has been used in pilots in West Virginia, Denver, Oregon and Utah has vulnerabilities that could allow hackers to change a person’s vote without detection, according to researchers at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

We're in the infant stage of computerization, still.  We have to get past this "Buggie" stage as I call it.  Eventually we will get past this point where things can be manipulated and hacked by a third (outside) party.  And just like alternative fuels, my opinion is to NOT rush into things.  Don't expose the electoral system to vulnerabilities and the expense.  Just wait until we can do it right.  Go back to mechanical and paper ballots under strict supervision and get rid of the incompetent people who screw the process up.

I certainly agree about the mechanical voting machines and incompetent people. The later unfortunately seems to be contagious.

           Seems like a good time to mention this again. Mom and Dad are both gone and have been for a number of years. They both worked out of Chicago during the depression. Chicago is cook county Il. In the early 50s they bought a house in Round Lake Il.-lake county. What I'm curious about is whether or not they-Mom and Dad-are still voting there in Il. and if they are still voting how long have they been voting since they passed? Or any number of Aunts Uncles Brothers in law Sisters in law that may still be voting in Il. since they've passed? Not that politicians in Il would stoop that low  Roll Eyes but it kinda makes me wonder. RIDE SAFE.   And IF ya gotta ask northern Il. i a heavy deez controlled area.
