I have been waiting for over two years now for disability for ongoing medical issues. Have been denied three times. Last law group dropped me. I have a local lawyer that found a mistake made by my last one. Now I wait up to another year for an appeal.
This crap Pisces me off....
that is a bunch of BS waiting that long to get an appeal. Not having ever done it, but I vaguely remember my dad getting disability benefits from working at the GM plant when I was a kid and he had to get a lawyer involved which took months and months to get straight, but 1 full year is crazy long. His 3rd spinal cord surgery though and he was done working for life at only age 55 no feeling in hands or legs and very clumsy the rest of his life some 21 years longer age 76 when passed in 2008.
I did read up on social security though although not quite age 50 yet. My wife makes near double my pay and from what I get out of it (I think, not really sure though), I could technically retire now or very soon and go on my wife's social security benefits since would probably be MORE NOW vs. me working the next 20 years of my life then taking my own social security. For the amount of B.S. I have to put up with from my 2 nagging/worthless bosses both bitches, I think about quiting/retiring near daily now. Last week I was extremely close on walking out and never returning being talked down to like a fricking 2 year old from someone who has no fricking clue to begin with that knows nothing on how to do my jobs.
Then again, the way my wife's employer is going right now in the mix of laying off 50+ workers soon, my wife could be let go as well in the future so gotta keep working I guess for peanuts?
