Im interested in the Maidenhead Fender Ornament. I know some were purchased and some were given away at Inzane.  If anyone has one laying around and wouldn’t mind parting with it, I am interested in buying it, please let me know. If you have one and are going to keep it, please let me know also. Thank you for your time.

I managed to get one from Bearcat 5 years ago.
I don't know if he is still in business, you can try gary@ricker.com
If you have any luck, please let me know. I need another one by now.

I contacted Gary on https://americanfenderart.net/ and received this answer

Hey Beer!! good to hear from you!! Yes, I still have the Maidenhead mold and I also have a new Chrome guy who has been in the Chrome Business for over 28 years. He really does a professional job and I'm very pleased with his results.
He has a standing rule that he won't do anything less than 20 pieces at a time as it takes him awhile to set up his equipment to chrome my type of artwork. And, I just had him create a bunch of them for me as I'm starting my Motorcycle show season.
I'll be having him chrome more in about a month and I'll include the Maidenhead at that time.

I'd be in if there's a quota to fulfill - IF the crome doesn't peel off the lady while sitting on the fender the first 24 hours.
Like it happened with the first version.

Edit:
Read it as "Warranty granted for finish durability"

@Mike,

I agree, the chrome (on the first ones) was crappy.
I told Gary this when I ordered another one 5 years ago.
He had them chromed differently by someone else and the chrome stayed on somewhat longer.
(for about 2 years and 20.000 miles)
I guess it's inherent if you put chrome on a synthetic shape.
Same thing with a lot of aftermarket accessories. Even the Cobra chrome peels off after some time.
This time, I will spray a few layers of clearcoat on the ornament and see what happens.
Pity, that there is no company to my knowledge that chromes synthetics while zillions of bathroom articles are made this way. Even wrote to companies in China to no avail Sad
I like the ornament because it's nice looking, represents the Valkyrie and attracts attention.
No affiliation whatsoever BTW Smiley
Everyone is entitled to his/her own taste and choise, but personally I don't want to ride around with something that is designed for a GW or HD, like an eagle or boar.  Makes your bike look like a wannabe

I went to the site to check and ran across their ride bell selection and purchased one for my son's Bday. While there I asked about getting the maidenhead in unfinished version and this my reply if anyone is interested:

Yes, I can create an unfinshed and uncoated Maidenhead for you. Please send your shipping address and send me the first four numbers of you credit card in one email and then the last four digits and the expiration date in a separate email. Or if you prefer, call me at the 800 number listed below. I will be able to get this shipped out to you right away.
Cost will be $40.00 plus shipping and handling for a total of $54.50. Do you want the bolts on the bottom or do you want the 3M tape to attach the Fender Art design?
Thanks,
Gary Ricker

My opinion, I didn't like the looks when they first came out, still don't. I wouldn't put it on any bike.

It's really too big for a fender mount.

But it might look great (and funny) on top your helmet.   Grin

Years ago, I mounted an upper body skeleton and skull on the tail light lens cover (it was designed to fit) (it looked like a skeleton Kilroy Was Here).  After about a month of riding (bouncing down the road), the skeleton head flew off.  So I had this headless skeleton mounted on my tail light.  People were like..... what the hell it that?

To give you an idea, here's what the ornament looks like in realtime.
Personally, I think it's just the right size. It draws attention but it's not too large, has the right perspective and complements the bike nicely.
You need to drill 2 holes for the small bolts that go through the fender.  You can order adhesive tape as well but I don't have any experience with that option.
I like the ornament to be placed a bit forward. It gives it a bit more agressive look. But that's a matter of taste. You have to think about it, though.
I didn't mind drilling the holes because you can always plug one of these plastic caps/plugs (the ones that they use for car upholstery, etc)  in the holes if the ornament is taken off.
When the holes are covered up that way on my black fender, you hardly notice the difference.
Make sure you put some kind of anti rust or paint in the holes so the metal doesn't stay exposed.
The bottom of the ornament has a curved shape but you need to adjust the shape somewhat to make it exactly fit on a Valkyrie fender. The ornament is made of some sort of resin, so you can use sandpaper or the like.
I put a small piece of rubber (of an inner tube) between the ornament and the fender to prevent damaging the paint.
The ornament bolts are placed in there while the resin is still liquid so they are really tight and secure.
On the inside of the fender I used a washer and nut and covered it with car body coating.
You may experience that the ornament becomes slack or loose after a while due to the trembling of the fender. Pending how well you made the ornament fit on the fender shape. Tightening the nuts is all you need to do.
