Just got a set  of these on a really good deal from Wall Mart. Wondering if anyone has any experience running these? What to expect. Thanks.

In general, Avons are some of the best tires for Valks-  many prefer them.    I've had many in the time I've had my bike and they handle fine and last a long time, usually around 12 to 13k miles on the rear, and I think I may have gotten 20k once on  a front tire.  They are typically one of the more expensive tires.
Right now I got a Metzler 888 on the rear, 'the latest in high mileage Cruiser Bike tire technology'.... we'll see about that, and the tire mounted and balances was about $250.
That's the first I've heard you could get them from Wal Mart.    How did that work:  did they just ship them to the local Wal Mart, you pick them up and have someone mount them?
How much were they, if you you don't mind me asking?

I just put these on about 500 miles ago and so far so good anda  really nice ride... but my old tires were way over due (D404 on front and a Cooper 2XS on the back) as they were both almost 10 yrs old.

Revzilla price matched and Cycle Gear charged $25 per tire (Revzilla and Cycle Gear are co-owned by the same company hence the cheaper install price).

Have the Avon's for around 200 miles now. They feel good to me, haven't tested them in the rain yet but they are working well in cold weather (for me)I live in the southern US. The bike came with old ass tires with flat spots and I lit up the back wheel a couple of times in second gear. New ones don't do that. LOL. Sp far they are smooth running good grip tires.

I don't think that Walmart has anything. They connect you with a buyer simiiar to Amazon.  I bought a 180/70R16 AVON Cobra Chrome rear tire through Walmart and it looks fine. If you look at their website, they have the same tire running from $142 to over $240 per tire. Depends on the person they are buying from. Does make you a little nervous though.

I just put them on before storage.  Not even scuffed up yet, so no report.   My ME 888s didn't go 10K. Bad cupping and hard middle flat spots.  It may have been my fault with tire pressure though.   I'm gonna pay better attention this year.

I paid $460 - $60. rewards card.  What's this Walmart seller?

And you went hush, hush. Not a single word about it until someone asked the question about the Avons Cobra Chrome.

There was a thread about it, but they went fast. I ordered one, and Walmart ended up cancelling the order when they ran out.  http://www.valkyrieforum.com/bbs/index.php/topic,109778.0.html

I ordered two rear tires on Sunday night.  They were both shipped out on Monday and scheduled for delivery on Thursday.
No such luck on a front tire.
