Well.... I havent posted here in many years..... MANY.

But I have a new project in my shop.... it is OZ's old valkyrie interstate.... I am going to be rebuilding most of the bike, powdercoat, paint, lowering the suspension (shortening the forks), super valk style trunk, etc. The bike is in rough condition. VERY ROUGH. I filmed a couple of walk around videos of it in the condition it was in when it came in, then another one after it got a bath.

I plan to do a bunch of videos of the bike and the process. Ill put a link to the videos below, in case any of you are interested in watching this old boat anchor get refinished. I hope to get a video up once a week, but that will depend on interest and timing.

I forget to post links all over the place when i get busy so if you see the video and you are interested in the project, dont forget to subscribe.... if you are interested in any certain portion.... let me know in the comments on youtube or here and i will try to make sure that i cover those parts in one of the videos.

ride safe

Yes he did. Had a set on my Interstate and loved em!

Andy, good to see ya Bro! I rode that bike several times in it's prime and was surprised to see it in that condition. I look forward to watching you get her back to her former glory. Ditch those carbs and put one of those sweet fuel injection set ups you had on your other bikes.  cooldude

we have been talking about either building an efi kit for it, or building a NOS kit..... the NOS makes these bike stupid fun... We had done a few like that when we had the shop and it was always on our bucket list for one of our own bikes...but something we never got to build and keep.

The new EFI kits are way better to work with and would be a pleasure to do vs the setups we used back in the early 2000's

I think you are generating a lot of interest already! Lots of folks here are interested in doing an EFi conversion, if possible.

Will be good to see this old gal revived and brought back into service in a proud condition. Good on you for doing this!

Andy tell me if I’m right or wrong. Isn’t this one of your builds with a blown fuel injection setup?

Yes, The blue bike is one of my builds... that one is also blown, so blown and fuel injected.

on that bike we built all the hard parts in house (except the blower and intake manifold) but we built and added all the efi parts like injector bungs, throttle body etc... it was a lot of work, but, super fun and SUPER FAST.

that bike had an old version of the holley efi for the brain.... The new stuff is much better, much smaller, and self learning. I am acutally doing an efi swap on a boat we have here with a 502 in it, once i get it running and through the self learn stages, i will know better how well it will work on the valk.

There is no kit for the EFI Valk.... some of the electronics can be pirated from starter kits... but all the hard parts, need to be made.

I think back in the day, i had done 3 of them. two of them were also supercharged. one was just efi

I remember that guy interviewing about the two Viking bikes. IZ3 was my first one and I was like a kid in a candy store, wandered around like a lost child taking it all in. Still have my first painting on the bike on the front fender done by Mike the Mountain Man, still looks great. My wife was part Cherokee and all the paintings on my Valk have this type of theme, sort of a way to honor her heritage...especially now that she's gone. Those paintings bring back her memory in many ways.  angel

Thanks for the comments on the fender, here's what I had done to the fairing. Also done by The Mountain Man.

Hmmm...looks like the first posting of a picture didn't take so I'm trying again. It was there when I previewed it.
