Have any of you Interstate owner's with a rear fender mounted tail light used anything but the Valkyrie tail light?
The big tail light seems to conflict with the trunk brackets a little causing light to get scratched when removing/replacing plus I don't think it is very attractive to look at either.
I was thinking of using a much smaller, brighter, light that I thought could be mounted to the plastic blank off on rear fender?
Any better or different ideas appreciated?

I have heard of other lights being used, but particular types escape me now...  I would think your imagination would be the limit.

Bill F, outlines how to deal with the trunk brackets garfing up the Standard tail light, in his picture by picture 'how to' in making the quick realese mod for the trunk here ( http://bigbf.com/bigbf_shop/mod_i-s_trunk/ ).

There is no set in stone way, but I used BigBF's method, from the link above, when I added the trunk to my '97 Standard.

You could use a Harley Tombstone.

I'll leave my opinion of it out.

You will have to  look real hard for a brighter light than this Valkyrie one.

This picture is taken inside a garage but look at the reflection off of the seat.

It has 132 LED's in it.  That by the way is the Brake light.

I agree with RJ on the tail light.  It fits, looks great and with that LED panel (I also have it).... it is VERY BRIGHT.  Bend that little bracket thingy out of the way.  I plan to do the Super Valk mod this winter and it will be cut off anyhow.    Others have used different lights.....  but a stock light also fills that hole which is covered by that little plastic piece.     You can find em on Ebay now and then....

Edit... RJ... just noticed your vanity plate.... cooldude

That stands for
'(1) (B)iker (F)riendly (M)otorcycle (C)lub'.

Isn't that what the VRCC is?

Just ask IA DOT to have a look see at my application.

When I applied for it I asked for BFMC,  they told me it was taken but they could put a 1 on the back.   I asked if it could go on the front, she said yes. told her to go for it.

You have to trim the part that come down on the tail light.
Go to BigBf.com and you will see what I am talking about.
