Don’t know if anyone is watching but this debate is a screaming nightmare virtually no moderation and candidates talking over each other.

Lots of talk of spending Billions and Billions of dollars too.

Is that what it is?   A debate?

The wife wanted to watch it, so we are.   I don't see a candidate that can beat President Trump based on their "plans".   Bloomberg has shown his lack of debate experience, Warren seems to think she can take over at will and the moderators are letting her.   Sanders is looking like a fool and Biden keeps talking about transparency and yet no one seems willing to ask him about Hunter.

What I will predict is that some of this "debate" will find it's way into Trump ads.   The Dems provided a huge amount of crap for their opponent.

I started puking a few minutes after listening to the puke lies coming out of their mouths.

biden is such a liar about him being poor growing up. his father was wealthy before he was born.  His grandfather was a wealthy oil businessman in baltimore. they lived with the GPs for yrs before getting the apartment he talks about.

Not watching, and I don't stick my junk in the electrical outlet either.

I don't care what they spend (though the more the better), but there is no silk purse, just sow's ear.

Watched a few minutes. What a mess. Bloomberg is the only rational one on stage. As was mentioned, no moderation here. It's like a kindergarten class that has had way too much sugar and that needs to all have nap time. Except Bloomberg is like the third grader.

My theory on the Democrats and Bloomberg.

Both want Trump out.
Democrats know Bloomberg can't get elected. Democrats won't even vote for an old white billionaire. So why change the rules and let Bloomberg run on the Democrat ticket?

Obviously money. The Democrats need it. Not for the Presidential race. They've pretty much conceded that with the clown show they got going now. But the money for the down ballot races.

If the Democrats can keep the House and turn a handful of Senate seats their way, a way easier feat to accomplish than beating Trump at the ballot box, they can immediately Impeach him again and run the show in the Senate. That is why Bloomberg is in play.

Impeach they can do along party lines.  Conviction in the Senate requires 2/3.  They can't get there.

1. They ain't had the 2020 election yet so we can't know the future makeup of the Senate. 2. Assuming the Democrats can get a Majority in the Senate, they get to make the rules. Would it make a difference? Some maybe. It will be a full onslaught of political hacks, media, and every corrupt entity and maybe they can get to the 2/3's. The point is that they can make Trump's second term bog down into oblivion.

played poker with Gman

Up a few bucks but lots of fun

It doesnt matter what they say or do as it wont be Bernie and it wont be Biden or Bloomberg

Whoever is the compromise candidate cant beat the economy and that is how voting goes.

Unless Clinton and the DNC can rig all the voting machines it will be Trump by 20% or more

Negative, the rules don't just get changed by the Senate in reference to the 2/3 majority required to convict.   The Constitution is the controlling document on how that works, it requires a 2/3rds majority of those senators present.   It's highly unlikely either party would not be in full attendance.

Changing that would require a Constitutional Amendment which, I doubt is gonna get passed.

Ok so my take on the disaster last night.

Warren and Klobuchar sounded too emotional. When pressed their voices cracked, at some points it sounded like they’d cry. I don’t believe they would stand up to the daily pressures of the presidency and their decisions would be subject to too much dependency on “advisers”. Neither of them had a Presidential presence. At least HC stood firm in a face to face confrontation and have off the vibe of being in control.

Sanders sounded like a stereotypical crotchety high school teacher from days gone by. He obviously hates rich people.

Mayor Pete was cool, calm and decisive on his responses but he’s still out of his element for the office of President.

Bloomberg was exposed and he struggled to think fast on his feet. I don’t care about his tax returns. He’s still anti 2A and he will attack the 2nd...hard.

Biden seemed behind the curveball. When he did speak he was riding the coattails of Obama.

There was a lot of talk of going green. Talk of getting rid of fossil fuels. Getting rid of gasoline? Getting rid of diesel? Getting rid of natural gas? There are million and millions of buildings such as homes, businesses, hospitals and office complexes which run on natural gas for heat and appliances.

Talk of getting rid of coal? I’m sure the people in that industry were excited to hear their jobs are in jeopardy.

There was lots of talk of tax and spend and national healthcare. Boy that’s a huge can of worms which they all praise Obama care but with revisions. Doesn’t sound like a viable solution. Don’t forget, the ACA when completed nobody knew what was really in it. “We won’t know what’s in it until it’s passed” was the rally cry and explanation.

So,in a nutshell there it is. Last night was a WOW moment, I could not believe what I was watching but there’s still 8 months to go.

The Senate gets to make the rules governing the trial. A Democrat led Senate can drag things out and cripple the Executive branch for the rest of Trump's term or until he would resign, or they get the 2/3 votes to convict. The point is that a Democrat controlled Congress can totally shut down this President and that is what the Democrats are shooting for with their support for Bloomberg.

I still say President Trump should hold a rally during a Democrat debate, and project the debate up for the crowd to see; President Trump does nothing but comment on it.

They could make it Pay Per View, pay off the national debt even!

(I know, numerically impossible now, but the idea.....)

Numerically impossible ? Well, I guess him adding 5 trillion in debt in his 4 year term does make it a little harder.  Shocked

I was surfing around and would check in every so often. One time Burnie was babbling how all the big companies would have to put 20% of there workers on the board of directors or give the employees a 20% stake in the company’s they work for. Loved the shocked murmurs from the crowed when Bloomberg said that communism. With arms flailing and stuttering from Bernie, and then he wasn’t allowed to respond. I was wondering if he was going to stoke out .

I am no Bloomberg fan but I liked it when he looked down the line and said "I believe I am the only one here that has held a job" and it got real quit.
I do admire his business savvy.
