Words escape me.
He's thrown half a billion dollars at advertising agencies and TV stations for absolutely nothing in return. Imagine if that money went to some of those who actually need it. Imagine what $500,000,000 could do towards school choice in some communities. You want to make a difference, stop keeping them dumb and dependent. Instead, it's just a boat load of money wasted.

All the money in the world can not create personality, character, and wit, something most of the good to great Presidents possessed.

I think Bloomberg would be a competent President, but not an exciting one in the way Trump is. He does have some policy ideas that some members here would not be thrilled about (guns, climate change/ control, to name a few).

Ya think. He wants ALL guns gone. Not just "assault" weapons. I don't care if he's the second coming he isn't getting good my vote if he wants my guns. He basically told that hero in TX that he should have waited for the cops to get there. In 6 seconds he shot the bad guy from fifty feet away in the head, killing him. 6 seconds. What do you think would have happened if he had waited?

All shot the back while jamming the doors at the back of the church.

Well, it's Bloomberg's money. He can do with it what he wills with it. It did pay for the wages and salaries of the ad agency and TV people. He can buy the votes of the people. And if the people vote for him because of it they deserve him. Bloomberg can probably get the older moderate Democrat vote. He'll not get the younger progressive voters. (Read Sander's socialist here). Even if by some quirk of fate (or billions of dollars) Bloomberg manages the nomination out of a brokered convention there will be great difficulty in bringing out the democrat vote in the general election. Most of the democrats likely couldn't or wouldn't vote for an old, white, billionaire guy. Bloomberg isn't an idiot. He knows how it will go down. So why? Money for the down ballot races. The play here is to keep the house and get back the Senate for the Democrats. They can't beat Trump at the ballot box but they have a chance to stop any of Trump's agenda and effectively idle him for his last term if they can take the Congress back. Which, while a difficult task, would be easier than beating Trump at the ballot box.

To his credit, at least Bloomberg is trying to buy the presidency with his own money, unlike Bernie and Sandernistas who are trying to buy it with promises of MY money.

Doubtful. If that were the case, a smarter play would just be to use his money for that cause. Like all politicians and rich people too, he has ego. Gobs of it. He thinks people will come to think of him as a genius, benevolent leader if he just advertises enough. I think he screwed the pooch on his first debate.

From 2013, this article covers the really phenomenal social engineering he did in NY (at his own expense). Not being from the Empire State, I really had no idea of this history. He would routinely defund things with NYC budget that he opposed politically, then privately fund them back up to run to his satisfaction. https://nypost.com/2013/06/23/ilence-was-golden/Just lately, I find it hugely funny (and disturbing) that every time I try to open a Utube (or some such) on conservative politics or gun related subjects or news I find interesting, they are mostly all preceded by a happy Mike Bloomberg commercial describing how he is the way and the light of human kind (and mostly diametrically opposed to the subject of the thing I am trying to watch). Really, I wish he would just go and buy some other poor country and set himself up as the benevolent sun-king for life. Many of those poor countries could be a nice hobby for him in his advancing years, and those people could use a full stomach and a tractor for their farms. And they would probably happily trade in all their guns for a better life. Win - win for him. For instance, he could probably get a real bargain buying Cuba, though I'd rather he choose another continent. Syria would be a great choice.

No argument there. But Madison avenue isn't really an industry that's hurting for money. No shortage of billions to pay for those superbowl ads.

So Clint Eastwood endorses Bloomberg. (I know, Hollywood is full of horsehockey) The man who makes his bones from fine firearms (.44-40, Winchester, 1851 Navy, Sharps 1874 - Rawhide, Spaghetti westerns, .44 Magnum, .44 auto mag - Dirty Harry, German MP40, Walther PPK - Where Eagles Dare, 20mm cannon - Thunderbolt and Lightfoot, .45/70 Gatling gun, Colt Walker - Outlaw Josey Whales. .45 auto, M1 carbine - Kelley's Heroes, double bbl shotgun, Spencer rifle - Unforgiven, M16, AK47 - Heartbreak Ridge, M1 Garand - Gran Torino), wants us to vote for the biggest enemy of the 2d Amendment in US history. You jokers are missing the big picture. Check who George Soros backs. I bet it’s Bloomberg. Read about Mr. Soros’ background and his philosophy. He’s not a commie, he’s not a Nazi, he believes in a world where their are no dominant nations. A one world order. When you do you’re research, disregard the propaganda from the right, as well as the left. It seems to me that Bloomberg’s ideas as well as his policy positions pretty much mirror what Mr. Soros believes. They are both multi nationalist bizillionaires interested in a world where stability is paramount, freedom and liberty and democracy be cursed. And remember, when reading make sure your mind is open.

All? I respectfully disagree. I may be silly, stupid, uninformed or a PITA but, I don't believe I'm evil. But then, as a registered Democrat, I haven't voted for a Democrat in a Presidential election since I was in college. Wait, I'm wrong, back then I voted for Ross Perot. Obviously, that was a mistake, had I and all the others that voted for Perot, voted Republican, maybe WJC would not have won. Rams
