We were in India last year. Did the golden triangle. The Ghandi museum was the best and most informative. The Taj Mahal was not up to snuff. They only have it pristine when a dignitary shows up.
I am sure they will have it cleaned up and the beggars out of sight.

Man, I got to get me one of them hats.  Me too!!! There are quite a few county's "Color Guard" uniforms that have me scratching my head. (North Koreas hats look like a large bowl with a brim balancing on their heads) I'm assuming it's respect of their country's past Military history mixed in with some modern garb. (hoping it's not just some guy that thought he had "fashion sense" and sold it to the superiors...)(who did not have "fashion sense") |

I totally agree Rams. India can be the buffer in Asia that is needed against a statist, communist regine hell bent on dominating Asia and the whole planet if they can get away with it. I think India has the chance to be the greater economic power and greater good for all of Asia. If they can get over that cast system - maybe they are. |
