Got my right eye upgrade today with a new lens, and even though I couldn’t afford the ones with X-ray vision I think the improvement in nighttime vision will be worth it. I look like I’ve been in a wreck with a patch over my right and bandages on the left side of my head covering my ear. I’ve been trying to follow doctors orders on both counts of not lifting more than 10 lbs, avoid dusty conditions, but the hardest has been don’t lay on your left side (ear) and don’t lay on your right side (eye) which leaves me in our smallest recliner that won’t let me do either without great difficulty!

Like all things this too will pass. Looking forward to Spring and getting back on the Valkyrie. I may have to call on BigBF to work some magic for that to happen, though I haven’t heard any updates on him for a while.

Don't mess around, go invest in a good recliner that you can sleep comfortably in. You will use it long after your recovery.
Hope for the best with your healing, and prayers from Tennessee.

Well, regardless of how you appear, looking forward to seeing you again in April.
Ya know, you never were that pretty IMHO anyway, maybe this is an improvement.  Wink

Thanks for the prayers, I need all I can get. I’m in good shape on recliners, the larger ones allow me to much range of movement for the limitations the doctors are invoking. About another week or so and it won’t matter so much.

John,

Reckon you already know this, but... it is entirely possible to find some quality snooze-time in a recliner! Glad fer ya that you seem to have a range of options available... I only have one, but it is well-suited for my needs! Also, glad to hear things are working out as planned for ya... Hope to see ya down the road... perhaps even in Hattiesburg in April. BTW, Ron ain't attracted to this worn-down rider either... a very good thing for both of us!!!

Lens replacement for cataract?  If so, you will be very happy.  I had both eyes done (a month apart) 8 years ago and this person who has been wearing glasses since age 3 can drive during the day with no correction.

And the colors, brother, the colors ! ! ! ! ! ! !

Enjoy!  And best of everything with the ear and thanks again for getting the word out that people have to pro-active with their health.  You're a good man!   cooldude

Hattiesburg is still a possibility! Possibly bring the wife and spend a few days on the coast somewhere. We haven’t been on a Vacation since 2007. We're in a good group when it comes to To Ron’s tastes!

Yea, I figure that is what they do for cataracts now. It seems quite routine , the office I went to were doing at least 10 per day. I haven’t been out much since the first eye was done because the ear was done just days later and the care of the ear (lots of Vaseline) and cleaning twice a day just makes it easier to stay home. But I have noticed an increase in the sharpness and vivid colors just watching tv.
