Started out with breakfast in Kuna, ID. Was a bit nippy at 32F riding there, and a bit windy at 12mph. Still, after a nice hot meal we ventured away towards swan falls, veering off towards Dan’s Ferry where we dined on hot coffee (I think that’s what it was, I mean, it was black and hot). Temps now in the mid 40’s we continued on to Murphy, ID. One must be careful in this town as Murphy’s law is well known in these parts. Anyways, stopped at the Museum there and visited with a friend I only knew from facebook. A historian and curator of the Museum. He treated us like royalty and gave us the “two dollar” tour. It was fantastic. Spent over 2 hours there. The video does not do it justice, but give a taste. Curators name is Eriks Garsvo. Cool guy.

Greg,

Great report! You just never know what's out there... until you go and see for yourself... I salute you and your bold riding buds who ventured out on a less than stellar day! Small slices of Americana are fascinating and well worth going off the beaten path to discover them... I'm reminded of the interesting little burger joint you introduced Dennis and me to... once upon a time during the unlikely meeting we had...

The famous Effie Burger in Lewiston, ID! So huge, three of us dined on one sandwich!!!

Thanks DDT. Always good to get out for awhile. Sure enjoyed the museum. I have the best buddies to ride with too.

Farside: I grew up in Phoenix, AZ. I remember thinking I was going to freeze to death when a frost hit and I had to ride my bike to school. Living in cooler climate now, it seems a body acclimates. Anyways, we dress for it too.

Whatever it is, it's better in the wind.

On a road less traveled.
