Shoot! Forgot it was the 29th! Got to 50 here, thought about a ride but did other stuff. If I'd have remembered I would have got a leap year ride in too. Still kinda icy and rather dicey with sand and gravel on the roads but still would have. Glad you got yours in!

Ever so often on the busier highways there was Still vestiges of the liquid deicer Missouri uses. But by paying tenshun i was able to miss the most of that crud. Just a couple days ago we had a bit of snow and ice. Lot of the farmers fields are Still wet and some mud was dragged out on the road surface. Avoided a lot of it but some had dried and became "interesting" when passing over it-specially in a curve.  Lips Sealed Not complainin just being aware i DO live in farm and ranch country. Trees still bare but that Will change Soon!  cooldude And will be a bit warmer tomorrow but winds 30+ MPH forecast. We shall see 2moro. RIDE SAFE.

glad you got out in the wind.  was tempting today high around 50 but suppose to get some rain this week in 40s for highs and looked at next 2 weekends in mid 50s so charging the battery this week and next 2 weekends going for shorter rides.

still crud and salt residue will be on the road and snow runoff crossing roads am sure but will be earliest out on 2 wheels early March vs. late March in all other prior years.

sure hope not tempting fate for have gone out on prior years late March and in rural areas have met ice on roads still in the shade where the sun does not hit it ever.

Dennis,

Well 'shucky darn' here, too! I did manage a ride... actually one heck of a ride... but... I didn't realize it was a Leap Ride until you pointed that out for us!!! I hope yours was as good as ours... From your description, however, it appears to have been well worth braving the elements and venturing forth... Glad you were able to make it happen... Gladder still that I (and crew) was too!!! Looking forward to your next 'Leap' report... in a short four years...
