VA's primary is today (Democrat, not republican).  VA is an open primary, so I can vote if I want to.

I tried to figure out who to vote for to screw up their selection process.  But how exactly do you do that?

Do you vote for the worst candidate (how in heck do you decide that?)?  Or do you vote for the guy DJT can beat most easily?  Or do you vote for the candidate you'd most like to be president, if DJT loses?

After a good deal of thought, I couldn't figure out how to screw things up any more than they already are.

I could go down and vote for the Easter Bunny (again), but that seems like a waste of good gasoline.  (and I don't have a mask to wear in that crowd of idiots).

So I'm not going down there.  But I'm really pulling for the Easter Bunny.

IMHO, vote for Bernie.

I almost did but there are some down-ballot Republican races I care about so I voted in the Republican primary, but if there wasn't one or I didn't care about it I'd have voted Bernie in the Democrat one.

Reasons:
-Increase the chance of a chaotic brokered Democrat convention.
-Make the Democrat power brokers work harder to steal the election from Bernie yet again.
-Bernie would be a cake walk for President Trump to absolutely steamroll in the general election.
-Even if all the Democrat voter fraud was enough to get Bernie actually elected, if he was able to implement any of his policies, it would just accelerate the inevitable collapse and/or rebellion and get it over with, which IMHO is better than putting it off another decade or two at best, like we are now...

Talk to anybody living in Cook County, Illinois and adjacent counties. It was rampant in the 60's and hasn't changed a bit. Other areas of the country it's been shown more democrats voted than were registered voters in certain precincts.

Brian, that is pretty much what I reasoned also.  I just couldn't bring myself to actually go out and vote for that lunatic.

We'll see if VA is still a Southern state that can't quite feel the love for the St. Bernard.

While it has never been investigated by the proper authorities, in our last gubernatorial election, Dane county (very liberal) reported 115% polling among eligible voters. All the down ballot elections elsewhere were carried by conservative candidates at expected polling numbers.

Nothing to see here, move along.

The best thing that could happen for the President in the general election is for the Democrats to once more push Bernie out and have him run as an independent splitting the against-Donald Trump vote.

But he won't..... They'll push him out, and he'll take a knee and kiss the ring just like he did last time.....

Here in Colorado we have a semi-open primary.  If you're registered as unaffiliated, you get to vote in either party's primary.  But if you're a registered Republican or Dem Socialist, you don't get that option.

If I had the choice I probably would have voted for Bernie to help make their convention resemble 1968.  However I have a concern that his nomination could validate socialism in the minds of the useful idiots.  That might not be good the next time around.

But it looks like it may not matter any longer.  After all the suspended campaigns over the last few days, it looks like the party leaders have decided to take Bernie out at the knees.  When it comes to playing dirty these guys are very good.  It will be fun to watch.

With 99% reporting here's VA.

Candidate          Delegates Percent    Count

Joe Biden              60    53.3%   703,121
Bernie Sanders      19   23.1%   304,259
Elizabeth Warren   0   10.8%   141,946
Michael Bloomberg   0   9.7%           127,633

So there is some sanity here.  I guess.

I am pleased Mikey gets nothing for his millions spent on gun control here.  (but not the gun control)

Just imagine the routine Jill Biden has to do every single morning.....

"I'm your wife. It's 2020. Donald Trump is the president. You are running in the Democratic primary. You were Obama's vice president, but he won't endorse you. Don't talk about Ukraine. Speak as little as possible and try your very best to not sniff anyone or grab any children inappropriately today."

Well now that Warren has dropped out of the race, both Sanders and Biden are trying to get her endorsement and her supporters.
Warren is a wary competitor and will most likely get something for selling out to either competitor. I'm going to suggest a cabinet position if her side wins.

Grin   Were that that was only satire.      There's probably a list on the refrigerator.

(On the upside, she'd probably make a better VP than whoever is chosen; and I don't know her from Adam.)  (Back when they let comatose president's wives run the country.)

Tucker Carlson said the other day its a shame - Joe has worked all this time to get to the pinnacle of his political career and he's not there to see it.
