went there a few ago w/wife--I was struck by all the little villages/towns were the same--1,000-1,800 sq foot homes with not much paved anything--the modest soccer fields were front and center with a small bar w/ a few tables and chairs at one end and that was it. The taxi driver said the once thriving country had all it's industry bought by outsiders and closed down--they now make nothing there and everything has to bought  from these outsiders.......Ross Perot warned of it here...people make fun of Trump for trying to bring us back..guess they need a vacation down there for some reality.

I worked in San Jose for 2 years back in 96-97. Lots of industry there then and I did some traveling there out to the Pacific Coast. Everyone seemed happy and there were quite a few Americans retired there.

In the U.S. manufacturing jobs as a % of total non farming employment in 1950 was 25 million and today it is 10 million according to U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis--the taxi guy in Costa Rica said EVERYTHING there is imported--they made clothes/soap,everything and now it is all imported....as Trump says "the disastrous trade deals" set up by the not our friends on Wall Street uglystupid2 I worked Ross Perots phone bank in Dallas in '92 and '96--Wall Street and media wouldn't have it..the giant sucking sound Trump is trying to undo---I personally believe as law is 15% of our economy that should be #1 to fix

Yup made in China, how can locals compete with that. What I find sad is Venezuela is a great example of what has failed, yet people dont see the truth. More than the problem the lack of wisdom and unity on a problem is the greatest threat. All these problems can be eliminated if there is unity if not we are lost.
