I was spiralling down the Youtube rabbit hole the other day and came upon a video of someone copying the Wendy's Baconator breakfast sandwich. I don't do fast food much at all, and my understanding is that Wendys just starting doing breakfast recently. Well, I'm a guy that likes breakfast foods. Usually, though, I limit myself to one meat product at any given breakfast sitting, whether it's bacon, sausage, chorizo, kielbasa, ham, etc. Well, here's my loosely-followed version of the sandwich (no sauce). I took two pieces of brioche bread and toasted them in a dry frying pan first. I then took two pieces of thick-cut (they use three, but probably not thick-cut) applewood smoked bacon and cut them in half and fried them up. While they were cooking, I took a couple of the small Johnsonville-brand sausage patties and molded them together, making one patty closer to the size of the bread. When the bacon was done, I cooked the sausage patty in the bacon fat. When it was just about done, I cooked an egg next to it. So, here's the stack order: Toast, sausage patty, slice of American cheese, two pieces of the halved bacon, the egg, another slice of American cheese, the rest of the bacon, and finally, the other piece of toast. So, I used toast instead of their toasted roll, and I didn't try to make the cheese sauce (didn't think it would be needed). I won't make this one often, for obvious reasons. But , it was good. Damn good. The dog and I enjoyed it very much. While probably not doing me any favors, I feel better about it than getting one at a drive-up window made of who knows what, by someone who may not have the same kitchen cleanliness standards that I employ. So, if you're ever feeling gluttonous, I can tell you that bacon and sausage work fine in the same bite.

I'll take two. As far as Wendy's breakfast goes , I would rather go hungry. The biscuits were under cooked , runny eggs and tough bacon. I was already on the express way when I started eating. The coffee was OK if desperate (I was)

One of those cholesterol sandwiches is fine.
Just pay for it with 3 breakfasts of oatmeal.
I eat oatmeal, but not cause I like it.

I actually eat oatmeal semi often. I was told that the quick oats are processed garbage, so I buy the old fashioned outs. I cook the oats in milk. When it's done, I add honey and a few shakes of cinnamon. Pretty old fashioned, but I actually enjoy it. Far more than the flavored, fast versions.

Yes, oatmeal every morning. With a tablespoon of honey, a few nuts, and half a banana. Probably boring to most but don’t knock it till you try it.

Well I can't stand it every day. Old fashioned in water, with brown sugar. I have some steel cut, which supposedly tastes the same (oh goody), but you can apparently chew it rather than suck it up through your nose. It's funny, because I love oatmeal cookies (which are probably half sugar).

I like oatmeal. I don't think it's that healthy for me though. 1/2 a stick of butter, 1/2 a cup of sugar, and some cinnamon. I learned to make oatmeal and cream of wheat for me and my siblings at the age of 8. To me it's not really oatmeal if it's in a little pack that you add hot water to. But that's the only kind my wife eats. That pseudo Wendy's sandwich sounds pretty good.

i went thru 2 12oz packages of bacon this weekend, is that good? Had leftovers from Saturday's 3 eggs, bagel, peanut butter, jelly, bacon sandwich, so this morning fried the small bacon pieces mixed in with eggs, sliced cubed potatoes, and cheese - very yummy. grilled 6 hamburgers mid afternoon today on the grill and threw in 4-5 strips of bacon cut up really small partially cooked inside each patty. Yikes, am I a baconholic? I still have about 12 packages left in the freezer, should be good for a month or two, well maybe? dislike oatmeal but the wife likes it eats it often nearly every day, cannot stand the stuff would rather have a pop tart, bagel with peanut butter, or plain old cereal like frosted flakes or froot loops, etc. One of these days if I feel very, very hungry me and the kid age 19 want to attempt the Milwaukee burger challenge of 2 lbs. of hamburger and fixins but they require eating jalapeno peppers on burger not a fan of so might not attempt it just to get a free T-shirt and my name on their board... Wife likes salads as well something I have rarely ever eaten in my life besides raw carrots ...

I really like oatmeal but I make it a bit different.
Oatmeal, vanilla, wheat germ,2 bananas, pure maple syrup, raisins, cut and mix the bananas in when you cook the oatmeal they will pretty much dissolve. Let the oatmeal cook a little and add in the rest of the ingredients finish cooking till its done and you have yourself some flavorful, great tasting and pretty healthy oatmeal.
Left over oatmeal put it in the fridge and the next day take some out put it in the micro with some milk or for a cheat a little half and half and heat for about 1 minute. Quick easy good and you can pretty much make it through the week making one time.
Eat with a hard boiled egg and a strip of bacon and you have a pretty good meal.

When I was a young'un, I was driving nearly 2 hours to get where i would work, mostly on rough roads. I tried eating the eggs/bacon plus type meal. But started getting stomach troubles about half way there. So started eating cold serial plus instant breakfast/ice cream mixture. As I got older and didn't have that type of drive could never handle the normal eggs/bacon/pancakes/waffles for breakfast, still can't
Now it a mixture of shredded wheat and cheerio's.
I do enjoy what most folks call breakfast for lunch or dinner. Five eggs/bacon/sausage plus toast make a good lunch.
