New member here with a 1998 Valkyrie. Doing a major resto / clean-up and am looking for suggestions on what are some of the best vendors / suppliers for items such as o-rings, rebuild kits, jets, etc. for the Valks. Ebay is always an option but I would prefer to stay away from used parts if I can.

I am already having a hard time finding o-rings for the alternator and intake ports, as well as finding new rubber brake and clutch lines unless I go with SS or universal rubber ones?

Also, am looking for other gas tank options instead of the original, would like something smaller to fit the overall look I am going for.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

For most of the carb and intake seals (as well as other items), I recommend Rich at Redeye Technical Services. Lots od hard-to-find and improved products at good prices.  https://redeye.ecrater.com/

For other parts, I usually use Partzilla   https://www.partzilla.com/

Unsure about fuel tank options.  Good luck in bringing the Valk back to life!

I wholeheartedly second these recommendations:  Rich at Redeye is great - and Partzilla is quite often the cheapest source for OEM parts (provided you don't need anything delivered yesterday).

I do too prefer Partzilla for OEM but occasionally Babbitsonline is actually cheaper for certain parts. Worth a bookmark for sure

I get my local Honda shop to compete with the prices I find online. We need to give them a chance to offer a better price, and we need our local shops to stay open and supply jobs.

I can usually get my Canadian Honda shop to a price close to what I would pay online from the US (now with WA state tax added too), but I don't need to cross the border or pay the mailhouse to receive it, and it usually arrives in time for next weekends repairs.

I would watch out for Ebay and Amazon, too many fake/cheaply made parts. I assume you are rebuilding a bike because you want to ride for a while so I would go Honda or I like Bike Bandit for parts. OEM parts are still out there for most of the Valkyries  I took a look when I bought mine and pretty much everything is still available.

As always in some cases after market parts that will fit are much cheaper, some thing like a wheel bearing is a pretty standard part, you just need to understand the sizes.

Partzilla operates an ebay store - I think they are a bit faster due to the rating feedback.  Priced the same, per a few comparisons but I didn't check many or pay attention to shipping cost.

Hey - what seat is that on the red one in your sig? Do you ride 2 up? Is it comfortable for you and the passenger?

Thanks

For a smaller tank you may try the 1994-2003 Magna. Similar in looks but probably will be shorter a well as a different mount pattern.
