Someone ran this last night that I glimpsed while my sister called me.  I think it was Tucker Carlsen that interviewed the gent that ran the trial.

why pummel a reporter for actually reporting real news

as opposed to the fake excrement we have been getting from other networks, the newspapers all owned by the same folks with a global agenda and not a USA agenda?

Oh of course  because that is what is done today

Good thing people have been thinking outside the box and we have a POTUS who does likewise

At the time he said it, it was true given the facts at the time, yes??? I still think the panic, which was probably what Trump was trying to tamp down, is way overblown, a self fulfilling emergency if you will. What’s the total world population and we have had a total of 9358 deaths worldwide. How many people die of the flu every year? I think most of the things Trump has implemented has helped curb the problem in the states and though expensive, necessary.

It’s about time to be a little more positive about our President, his team, and their efforts. If the governor of New York can spread a little praise surely we all can squeeze out a little too.

I agree with this post, for the most part.

My question is how many could die from this Chinavirus if it does become endemic, like the flu, and mutates every "season" like the flu?   This is what keeps the highly paid scientists up at night.

Indeed it was true at the time and no need to crash the economy through creating panic that might not materialize.  He had closed down traffic from China weeks ahead of other countries and called a racist for doing so by the usual crowd.  However other countries did not and it may have come in the back door from Europe.  Anyway another huge congress woman critic has come out to praise his response.  I wonder what her end game is?

Piles of horseshit are noticeably higher (dry vs. moist) relative to flaps of bullshit which are a bit closer to the ground.  This is a diamonds-on-the-souls-of-your-boots opinion that has been validated by friends and neighbors of thirty years in the wanderings of pastures and corrals.
The learning curve is short and direct.
Your buddy up there is more horseshit than bullshit; that much I'll give to him. PHD.

Gilead Pharma statement: "remdesivir is an investigative antiviral with limited data at this time-it is not approved anywhere globally and has not been demonstrated to be safe or effective for any use."

Malaria is a parasitological, blood borne organism and not a virus; neither of those are approved antiviral drugs in nature and efficacy.   The rushing to useage of existing pharmaceuticals against organisms for which they were not originally intended might cause all those nasty, small print, cross-reactions and side effects that the producers talk about at the end of their commercials.

That's why it's called a clinical trial; no rush to judgement.  There is a long way to go before they'll start handing out the candy.  "Here, take this; you may get nausea, diarrhea (mud butt), lose your hair, and headaches, but give it a go, good luck and see ya later, pilgrim."
Well, that's only the most common list.  ???  If you don't think that stuff (quinolones) can ruin your liver, think again bucko.  What about children, pregnant women, and the quite elderly?  Yeah, as trouble free as a Snickers bar.

Considering that the data and information is coming from China...well, let the conspiracists run with that tidbit.  Anybody out there in the dark web care to comment?

The stories coming from Fox Fake, Fair, and Balanced News consistently fail to give an intelligent based examination by actual journalists, who are learned in the scientific method necessary for correct evaluation, instead of the blatherings of an alt-right, yuppie twit who never met a mirror he didn't like.
And let's get somethin' straight here...he's no journalist/reporter/source; he couldn't hold Cronkite's spit cup on a windy day off the coast of Maine.

I don’t recall much advise being given on Faux News. I watch regularly and they offer and report news and then plenty of opinions and points of view. If you are a mature person it’s easy to separate news facts from opinions on Fox but not necessarily on other outlets.

Bob, you’ll have to give me a quote to work on and give me your definition of lies. Opinions are opinions, opinions presented as fact are lies until proven otherwise. That last statement is my opinion and may not agree with your views. I am also of the opinion that pretty much everyone who frequents this board is savvy enough to know when they are being fed a load of crap and can make their own decision about whether or not to swallow.

There was many of us that took the malaria pills in Vietnam. I guess it worked, they did give articles 15 if you got malaria after you said you took them. It got to where they handed them out and you had to sign your name. This was at the beginning of my tour, ended after 3 months. There is some health issues coming into play now after all these years from taking the pills in vets.

If you listen to drug ads on tv and read the fine print on pill containers we know there is a risk benefit with just about every drug out there. It appears o me that with the sickest patients, they would probably accept some risk to get some relief. When you are so sick that you feel like you are smothering to death any relief is appreciated.

You have no idea......on a positive note, my therapists all think I'm showing improvement.

As far as the messenger thing, you'll notice I never mentioned the drug or it's potential positive effects. That's not what I was referring to. It was the general. long-standing scumbaggery of Mr Tucker Bowtie Carlson. If memory serves, didn't he just do a 180 in the last 10 days or so about this national emergency? He never met a conspiracy theory he didn't like, and has shown in the past that he doesn't mind spreading it.

But I do appreciate your concern.

If Fauci delivers the message, I'll listen and contemplate.  He's the man, and certainly not Pence or Trump.
That should about clear it up for ya. 2funny

I completely agree. And I agree with the rest of your post, too. Nice to see others on the Board who have similar views as me. We're definitely in the minority here. When I read this Board, I feel like I'm in an episode of the Twilight Zone.

It’s about time to be a little more positive about our President, his team, and their efforts. If the governor of New York can spread a little praise surely we all can squeeze out a little too.

He's got a long ass way back to earning respect. But I give him permission to try.
He hasnt lost respect with over half of the US and I dont think he needs your permission for anything. Just sayin crazy2 2funny
