I know stock seats are different, but is there a difference in an Ultimate drivers seat for the Interstate and the Ultimate seat for a Standard Valkyrie?

Yes, because of the larger IS (Interstate) tank, the IS Ultimate is a bit shorter in the nose.  Word is, an Ultimate Tourer/Std seat will snap down on an IS, but the nose kinks/rubs a bit on the tank. Apparently enough to rub the tank paint with use, so a strip of clear tape over the paint would be a good idea.

I cannot say if the Ultimate Tourer/Std Lowboy or Bigboy is any tighter of a fit on any IS

I believe the only aftermarket seats that are the same for all Valk models are the Mustangs. (wide vintage)

Yes! The I/S seat tilts up farther at the front and is a bit shorter due to the larger fuel tank, However, I have put my ultimate from the I/S on my STD for extended trips and it fits well. Others have stated they have installed the Std. Ultimate on and I/S but takes some squeezing to get it latched . YMMV

Yes, of course there is a difference.

The interstate seat is a two up seat.

The seat for the standard is a solo seat.

Very easy to notice when looking at them.

Except Ultimate Seats does not sell a two-up (or dual tour) seat for any Valkyrie.  All their seats for IS are two-seat setups.

Reason I need to know is I have Standard with opportunity to aquire an Ultimate IS seat, so if it's shorter, then I would have somewhat of a gap. So thanks for answering my question. I find neither scenario acceptable.
I had a Corbin seat on a Tourer that I loved, but couldn't remove it before it's sale because it rubbed the paint where it couldn't be covered by any other seat, otherwise I would have held on to that seat. I'm sure I wouldn't want a gap either.

There is probably a picture or two somewhere on here of an Ultimate IS seat on a Std.

I think the gap is pretty minor, and it would have no effect on sitting comfort.  And I can't be sure, but it's possible an IS Big Boy would show less gap than an IS low boy, maybe.

Depending on price, it could be a good deal.  But old seats can look OK, but be worn out badly.

I rode around on an old 1st generation (square backrest post) Big Boy for a long time before I realized that seat was absolutely shot.  In fact Dez of Ultimate Seats at the last Asheville IZ was LHAO as he showed me how he could push my seat all the way to the frame with one hand.  I got a new Big Boy, and it was a great improvement, and sat me like 1.5" higher than my old beater (which looked great, but was a POS).

If you are not going to get that seat I might interested in it.  I have an ultimate on my standard that I also use on my interstate.  I could definitely be interested in another one for the interstate if it was a decent deal.
