I can't top riding across a State for a milkshake. . . but my bride and I commonly (about 2 or 3 times every couple weeks) ride just under 200 miles (round trip) for chilly dogs (Flint style of course.) The place is in our home town and has the best coneys in the USA. Now there's an argument just waiting to start We also run up to Traverse City 3 or 4 times a summer just to get some BBQ at a small 'mom & pop' place. I never really paid attention the mileage. . but it's about a 4 hour trip one way on the back roads. We call in advance because the owner & cook closes whenever he feels like fishing. Man, you got to love those types of places!! I'm guessing there's a bunch of folks here that take those type of rides, eh????

I understand that completely! We rode up to Valdosta, GA a couple summers ago just to eat lunch at a McDonalds. Had some burgers 'n fries then rode back home. About a 220 mile round trip. Some of the dumb things we do!

LOL... Don't ya love it? We'll ride a couple hundred miles for a burger. When we get to where we're going, the waitress will sometimes ask, "Where ya heading to?".... When we tell them, "here", they just shake their head... We get a kick out of it.

I've rode 1320 miles round trip three times for the best free BBQ in the world. Hotglue's gathering of the Fools. He doesn't charge a penny but I'd feel mighty low if I didn't drop money into the donations bucket. Come on G.O.T.F.'s 2010, the first get together of the year usually for a bunch of us. Raymond

I once rode 300 miles (each way) for a cheese steak at Salvatore's in Macungie, PA. FANTASTIC Cheesesteaks!! I kept threatening my wife that one day, I was going to go for a cheesesteak run. She thought I was joking until one day... I think that cheesesteak cost me about $60

There's no telling how far I'd ride for even a mediocre chili burger, or a diet Dr. Pepper with vanilla extract if the company's good. Were I to drive 160 miles it would take a lot more than the best meal you could offer. It's all about the ride.

Glad you picked up on that Willow...i'd ride MUCH, MUCH further on the bike for food of some kind or another...but considering the weather and my lack of rubber on the rear Avon, that's still a pretty good chili burger to make me take the SUV that far!!...
