ordered my front caliper rebuild kit...minus new pistons...figured the old ones would clean up fine and a master cylinder rebuild kit....might as well do them both.  My question is when filling a compleatly dry brake system, do I just keep filling the master cylinder and start bleeding the system or is there a better way......thanks

Search speed bleeders, mity-vac, HF hydraulic system bleeder... and you will find all the answers you could hope for !!!!!!

I use speed bleeders... they don't help with priming a dry system... I used
a syringe down at the caliper and sucked some fluid into the system from
the master cylinder until pumping the lever started working...

I use gravity bleed starting with the right side 1st. Put a clear 3/16" vinyl on the bleeder to monitor air bubbles. When you get a solid flow, close that bleeder and proceed with left side. When doing the final bleed open bleeder in very quick open/shut not allowing lever to bottom out. Been doing this many a year w/o any problems. Yes its slower but the air in lines flow better w/o being forced. Also once you get the lines somewhat filled you can use the lever to help alleviate air with the bleeder open just keep the MC full. The MC does not have to be sealed up to perform this procedure. Starting with right side is a more direct feed as the left side is fed from a T from right side.
