I was just thinking..... Before this is all over I should put on my big cowboy hat, a western shirt, my boots, strap on my leather cowboy holster, pop a single action revolver in it, pull a red bandanna over my face, queue up the theme to The Good, The Bad and the Ugly on my phone, and proudly march into the local bank to do regular banking business......

....because I can't imagine it will ever in my lifetime be okay to do that again.

I know staying home with the whole crew is working on your sanity and reason, but don't do that.

The only mask I had to wear to Walmart was a headover balaclava, but I look like a freeking terrorist, so I didn't wear it.  (Almost) everyone else had one on, so I didn't need one.  (This may sound selfish, but my exposure is so low (to nonexistent) that I am certain of my noninfection.)

In any event, walk-in banks are probably closed.  You could wear that getup to the drive-through.   Grin

Besides, with your computer acumen, you probably haven't been inside a bank in years.

One of these days, I need to take in my 60 lbs of coins box.  It's full.  I've tried using it for wrist-rocket ammo, but coins are ballistically inferior.  And the squirrels just laugh.

Heh, I won't actually do it, mainly because I'm lazy, but the walk in bank was open yesterday, or appeared to be.

I need to go in from time to time, usually to get rolls of $1 coins that I use for tipping at the Renaissance festivals. Something feels slightly more authentic to have a coin purse hanging off my belt full of coins instead of just tossing $1 bills like I'm at a..... different entertainment venue.

I did venture into Wal Mart yesterday so that the kiddos would have some sort of something Easter morning, and saw several people with bandannas tied across their faces...

It depends on your financial institution.

My credit Union (Navy Federal) had the one branch in Leavenworth open for business INSIDE, as well as the ATM outside (they don't have a drive through). When I first got there, they asked my business, had me use hand sanitizer, and they were very strictly observing social distancing.

My MIL's bank (Capital Federal) has closed all lobbys and everything must be done either online or through the drivethroughs.

That's the two examples I can provide.

Our local banks and credit unions are all closed door.   drive ups are open and mostly pleasant folks on other side.

So Serk, couldn't draw on  my boots, shirt, jeans, chaps, hat, red bandana mask, and firearm (which OR has open carry) so I could walk in to the bank to do business.    Of course the Banks/credit unions do have a no firearm policy.   2funny

Also,
I don't know about Texas, but in NC and Kansas, banks have the "no weapons" sign at the doors, so I might do the rest of the getup - but I'd leave the gun outside.

Depends on the bank. Mine does not have such signage posted.

My bank-U S Bank-here in Mo. and the one near my Brother-Crystal Lake Il.-are drive up Only unless you need to go inside after getting an appointment. I carry Everywhere down here in the ShoMe. Even the banks. Went into my favorite grocery store here yesterday with the mask on and I pointed my finger and said stick em up. The Ladies and Men that work said just about in unison-Dennis We KNOW you!  Roll Eyes Pretty Sure my bank would NOT give me an appointment if my stated purpose was robbery!  2funny RIDE SAFE.
