it took a while to finish the carb rebuild on the 99 red & black interstate .  I work slow and on bad days not at all. Less regretable mistakes that way! It was a breeze compared with
installing the air breather .The thing just was not sitting right and impossible to get the intake hoses onto the carbs. The pair valve seem to prevent the box from sitting square ,so desmog was the next step .All is well now and all intake tubes are tight.
After many years of fussing with that box I figured a quick and easy way ,line the lips of all three left tubes just below the frame and clutch steel hose ,then push to the left and down while bending the right side tubes ,in it goes! so after a few tries it fired up and sounds great .Also changed the exhaust for a set with the pigies cut ,not as loud as cobras but interesting. All on good Friday angel
Happy Easter, be safe and free.    Smiley

Sounds great Fred!   cooldude

I'll be getting into Hildr the Valk's carbs soon.

Hope you and Chantal are doing well...maybe we can ride the Hill Country later this year.   Smiley

Stay safe!
