Did you get snow in your area yesterday? I'm seeing on the news that some parts of northern Maine got   a foot plus of snow yesterday.  ???

We awoke to 6" of heavy wet snow Tony.... lots of trees downed, and hiway plow trucks off the roads.
It was @ 4 or 4:30am we heard a really loud explosion, then another one an hour later...
Trees coming down on power lines, and the transformers literally exploding...almost sounded like a war zone.
Shoveling this was reminiscent of when I was shoveling wet concrete putting in garage floors for a friend 40 years ago....
I was too stubborn to move everything around to get the snowblower out....I shoveled just enough to get a vehicle out if necessary & get to the mailbox,  Mother Nature will take care of the rest !!!

It actually snowed at least 12 to 15 times through out the day yesterday, big heavy flakes, then the sun would come out....luckily those squalls didn't add up on the ground.

Some areas in Maine had over a foot and a half....Let's begin mud season all over again !!!  tickedoff

The highway divisions have in their budgets xxxx amount of salt and sand 'needed'...
If they don't use that amount they can not transfer that money to another account, so
down went the salt / sand twofold..... Will be a while before the roads are cleaned.

Leo, over in Smithfield has been without power since 6pm Thursday. He says it's about a foot of heavy wet snow. Lost two trees and split most of his lilacs in half.
