Much needed local zoom about.

It's quality not quantity that counts.

After the route plays scroll down to see the photos.

I filled the tank at home with gas from my generator reserve.

The red head was a great pileated woodpecker that flew ahead of me at shoulder height for about 6 seconds before gaining altitude and banking left in to the trees. That made my day. I've never had one fly just ahead of me. I've seen them on trees and in flight in the forest.

Saw quite a few bikes but nowhere near the amount that would usually be on the road on such a beautiful riding day.

Some state camp sites were closed. Others open and busy with RV'ers. Obvious that not much social distancing was going on.

It's difficult to operate a gas pump with one hand in a plastic grocery bag when filling a bike gas tank. Din't want to have to wait for the engine to cool down before filling up.

I carry a small zip loc bag with disinfectant wipes in for cleaning credit card etc.

Just bring hand sanitizer and use it immediately after hanging up the pump.

Forgot to mention that the temp and humidity were right in the sweet spot for 6 carbs to give POWAH!

A lot of the ride was 3rd and 4th gears. 3 to 6,000 rpm.

It's been a while since I told you I really like riding my Valkyrie.

Me too, but I didn't use mine today... normally it is not a problem to "step inside
for a moment" at the gas stop, but today I said "nah", and didn't even have
a gas stop...

Glad you got out for a ride. I like your two pics with the trees and fence in the background...well taken cooldude

I have  packs of disposable gloves and wipes in the bike,  truck, and car. Get my gas, clean the cards, chuck the gloves. When I fill up the truck, I also fill up two large jerry cans to keep at the house...make sure the bike is full before I leave so any ride up to 315 km or so I'm good.

There's one bend on the route that even though I know it's coming up always gets me and I end up doing some peg scraping.

It's a double reducing radius uphill and is marked at 20 mph. It tightens up after the first reduction and it does seem as if I'm going so slow I'm going to fall over.  Cheesy

A bike with better ground clearance would have no problem. So long as the same speed was used.
