This is one of my babies

Central Kansas

« on: April 13, 2020, 05:29:52 AM »

It’s cold in Kansas again. It was 90 degrees in Kansas Saturday yesterday and today 20s. Saturday evening I finally have the carbs off Valkryie, and dinner was ready.
Sunday,  very cold and no heat in MC building but I went out for a little to pull them pretty much apart and put in containers so I can put back together (pray - pray).  PS I do not have air cut and enricher removed.
I noticed some of the little brass ports/air passages on air funnel side of carbs looked plugged, all I had for air was pc cleaner type can of air so I blew in it and it pushed out crud and fuel.
When I blew unto one it made the enricher valves kind of flutter the other didn’t seem to do anything.
My question is does anyone know what each is function of all the ports on funnel side and piston vacuum side. I think it would help to know what does plug up so we can be sure these are clean.

Thanks
Jack

One opening is the float bowl vent.
Another one is the air intake for the cut off valve.
The other is a vent for the low speed circuit.
