All balls part #26-1629.  The parts come and need to be sorted. Do this first. FYI , do only one bank at a time. The three on the left and then the three on the right. Replace the vacuum and fuel lines. Take your time and ask if not sure.
I hope you read my post about rebuilding carbs.  T A K E  the bike outside and away from the garage/house when you get ready to start it. Have a fire extinguisher handy. The air box (filter) needs to be installed or it will not run properly. Get an IV bottle for a fuel source.
I would also recommend   a de-smog if not done.

First off I suggest to drain the float bowls and then use a heavy dose of additive to the fuel tank.

The problem mainly is with the fuel stop rooster.

It needs replacing with new device.

Are you talking hydro locked?

If you don't know what the above is, search it and read about it.

Most are feeling the carbs are in need of new floats. Then there is also the petcock

not closing off the fuel when the bike isn't running, drains through the open float to the piston.

If you are going to completely break them apart, Redeye Rich has a kit that pretty much has everything except intake O-rings and float bowl gaskets.  I am in the middle of my third set right now and waiting on a new shipment from him.  Really nice thing is he includes them bagged in individual bags with the directions in each back for where that specific part goes and even includes some helpful hints for some items.  Other kits are cheaper and many include all the jets too, but if you clean the jets really good then I think it is rare that they actually need to be replaced.  I bought a ultrasonic cleaner to do mine and it does a great job cleaning stuff up.  However, even if you do go with Rich's kit without the jets, I would still replace the float valves since you now pretty well know at least one of them did not seal properly.  I think I paid about 15 bucks for a set of K&L float valves on eBay.

https://redeye.ecrater.com

here is the link to where you can order the parts from Rich.

Also, make sure to fix that petcock to keep it from leaking.  If you can get that fixed, unless the bike is not running well, you may just want to drain the float bowls and replace the float valves instead of tearing everything down.  That is DEFINITELY a lot easier.  If you want talk more about going through the carbs completely I will be glad to chat.  I can't ride right now because I just had back surgery or I would just ride down to Beulaville and help you out.  Or pull the boat and then just continue own when we were done!!  It's time for Bonito and Cobia!!!

Hey! Hope you're doing well.  Ques.  Notice that link only references the Standard and Tourer, not the I/S  "CF"... any issue with that?  Also, how do you think this kit compares in quality to the Redeye kit?

Thanks,
